it really kinda sucks. there's only 2 schools in my district considered year round schools, and mine is one of them. it's not really year round, though. they just start earlier.
i should be afforded a month off in the summer, but because there's only 6 weeks between school years i don't get that. shit, i didn't even get one solid week off. i had a little time off and the building was closed on Fridays, but damnit, i work in a public school. GIVE ME MY SUMMER BREAK!

Well...I'm trying to prepare myself. My hubby has a technology interview with a company, then his in person interview sometime next month. If he gets the offer, and I know and pray that he will...we will be California dreaming by the end of the year. I love NC. But, its time for a change. And, this will definitely be a big change. Gotta downsize our stuff and move west. Gotta apply for jobs in the San Fran/Silicon Valley areas. I'm excited!
The mom in law wont be too happy though. Given the type of job and the requirements of said job, we may be in CA next year but after that, we could be international...so back to Louisiana she goes. Its the best thing for her...and us.

She really hasn't done aaaaaaaaaaanything wrong. She's great, but I'm just not at all into her, not even a little bit....which makes me feel bad. I was 3-4, and I remember my dad giving me something like a toy or whatever one night, and with my mom right there, I said "I like daddy more than mommy!" But I surely ain't mean it, just that he gave me the toy I wanted in that moment, not even sure if she was able to. But I know it hurt her, and my dad made me give her a hug, and I was crying.
Don't take AAAAAAAAAAANYTHING personal that kids say or do. It's tough, but yeah.

But yeah. I was talking to my Goddaughter's mom yesterday, and she's just 11 months old, but is mean to her dad and brother already. Her brother will kiss her on the cheek, and she'll just slap him. It's hilarious to me, but of course she's way too young to understand anything.

I had an interview on Monday and I thought I crushed it. Guess I didn't.
One thing I'm not a fan of is conversation where it feels as if I'm supposed to be following a predetermined script. Where one person is trying their damnedest to steer things in one cliched, Internet-influenced direction and ignoring your pleas to not take it there, because it's not necessary.
I keep being told the same things by my crew, and yet...

i went to visit my aunt in georgia and i hated it. too many negro's. i thought i liked my people but i guess an abundance of them isn't good for me. they all seemed to fit a damn stereotype that i spent the greater part of my twenties trying to deny was that prevalent. fuckers. then there's all those confederate flag folks and their pick ups. i think i hate georgia almost as much as i cant stand florida.
my sons ex gf had the most ratchet family ever. i had to bite my lip for a good three months on that one. then she eventually dumped him because she said he was too ambitious and i went into my room and attempted to do the nae nae. one day he will understand that he dodged a bullet.
