I was never really too familiar w/ her more well known stuff

I mean I read The Bluest Eye (sparingly) back in HS and of course Song Of Solomon but something about Paradise (which I read in one shot one night) left me feeling empty, nauseous, claustrophobic and uneasy. I mean those last pages, whoa...

I'll never forget the imagery, str8 haunting.

close runner up (for me) was White Teeth by Zadie Smith

name a few page turners that left you needing a drink afterwards.
