Jim Bob is an ex politician so I'm sure those connects have helped him. But he has several commercial properties they lease out and I think several residential properties too. They even get paid to have a cell tower on one of their properties. House and cars are all paid off. They have no debt whatsoever.

they have been investing in real estate since the early 90's. Sure the show made them more money. But they were making money before that. Also the home they were living in when the show started they paid for in cash.
