i know i (we?) went thru something similar with key and peele when it first aired so i'm trying to be patient key&peele didn't really find it's groove until it's 2nd season but these first two hannibal episodes have been so cringe worthy i'm not sure it will even get to that point in the beginning of the 2nd episode he basically acknowledged that the 1st ep was trash so maybe he will make adjustments (2nd episode was still trash too ...so maybe not)
whatever the case he need to run and get help from who ever is making him funny on broad city and the eric andre show

how do you get to a point where your very first show is trash? if anything, i'd assume it would fall off over time as they run out of ideas. but to come out the gate badly, i wonder if they rushed it or if the talent just isn't there.

found dude funny...at all. I did peep the show and yeah...basically what you said. FWIW, I'm still super hit or miss with Key and Peele...although I do recognize that they are talented.

i don't really find his stand up funny, but his skit game was on point on this show even the skits are horrible. i can't call it
now that i think about it the last couple of black comedy shows i've watched have been pretty bad hannibal, donald glover, jerrod carmichael, chris tucker, kat williams latest joint sheesh kevin hart is basically the 1-eyed man in the land of the blind right now

I so wanted to like it, but I just can't. I actually enjoy his stand-up. I find his witty, deadpan style refreshing in a sea of comics who are all kind of hitting the same notes.

Open Mike Eagle, Flying Lotus, & Thundercat was cool, but the lone hilarious segment last night was his man-on-the-street at a PETA demonstration. Everything else felt poorly timed, the show's pacing feels very awkward.
