however, i've probably swam 2-3 times as an adult. and recently in Hawaii i learned swimming in a pool is mentally way different than swimming in nature. went snorkeling and there being no side of a pool to grab or floor to touch freaked me the f*ck out. my brain kept telling me i cant swim, lol
1. i attended elementary school in a district that mandated swim class. i learned to swim in 2nd grade.
2. my collegiate alma mater required me to pass a swim test b4 i could graduate. the test is given during orientation week and those who can't pass are required to take a swim class and pass another swim test b4 graduating. i passed the first time during O-Week.

the deep end looked like so much fun you HAD to learn how to swim.
**************** TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

Tallahassee matter of fact, Pops and his country fam took all of us to some lake out there. Man listen, me not knowing anything about swimming in anything other than 3-5 feet, my dumb ass followed my cousin in to the lake. I went in to far went down and all hell broke loose. I couldn't do a thing, I'm waving and kicking like I got the holy ghost. Pops, who's taping us out on our first summer day in FL drops the video recorded turns into Brown Hornet runs into the water. My cousin, swims over's and yell's "Get on ma' back!" Boy carried me
Got back to Cali and the folks had me and my bro in swimming lessons and at the beach.
