as in the teachings about the end times, antichrist, rapture etc all beginning in the generation (however that is interpreted) when Israel becomes a nation blah blah blah
so previous to 48, all the atrocities in the world was supposedly cool or a free ride because it didnt play into the end times?

as in...when Jesus told his disciples he'd go and prepare a place for them and return to take them w/him most/all of them thought he'd be back in like 2 weeks. and since that time segments of his followers have been railing about living in the last days or end times. the 'signs' have ALWAYS been around those who want to see them. most of those ppl are old folks who are living in THEIR last days. LOL.
but i digress...if one wants to find signs of the last days as prophesied in the Bible one can find them. at any point in history the 'signs' are there.

Yeah I get that, but those who are somewhat fundamentalists state that it is written that the end days actually begin after Israels people etc have a recognized home ..which was in 48, right? As in, thats when the clock starts ticking for the end times. No exactly when Jesus is to come back but starts things running...\
and if that is so, then all the atrocities since AD was okay? bs I say (I think)

The site where the Al Aqsa mosque sits is where the temple of Solomon once was. In order for it to be rebuilt the mosque has to come down. So although the last days is a prolonged period it does have milestones or waypoints.

Anything outside of a natural disaster would have huge ramifications among the Muslim world, but even that (a natural disaster) could be devastating geo-politically.

I can appreciate the feeling of precariousness now though. Democracies in any form have been historically hard to maintain for long periods of time without huge upheaval. Despite victories we may have like gay marriage, there are troubling signs of persecution and rising racism underpinned by Nationalism elsewhere. Resources aren't exactly plentiful but the worldwide population keeps growing. I think greed is a problem.
How much of a problem and how imminent any crisis might be is an issue, but I don't think the trajectory is fantastic.

By Rome and the temple as well which Jesus predicted when he said "see these stones? They all coming down.".
The events prior to that also lead to the end times as the kingdoms of Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome all had roles to play in the historical events that would create the conditions from which the end of days could emerge.
The existence, characteristics, and actions of these Kingdoms were foretold by Daniel in the book that bears his name.
