WATCH: Civilian outsmarts burglars in Beer Sheva
Security cameras in Beer Sheva documented an unusual incident in which a resourceful civilian who happened to pass by the scene of a burglary pretended to assist the burglars before attacking them and causing them to flee.

Four masked men who tried to break into a store in Beer Sheva were surprised by a passerby, who pretended to help them before attacking them with the crowbar they had used for the burglary.

In footage of the unusual incident caught by security cameras at the site, one of the burglars is seen forcing open a crack in the metal door of the store while two of his partners crawl under it. Moments later, a young man chances upon the scene of the crime and without hesitating decides to join the burglary attempt.

The twist in the plot comes when the young man, who it turns out was only pretending to assist the burglars, grabs hold of the crowbar used moments earlier for the burglary and attacks the burglar that remained outside the store. When his partners crawl back out of the store, the young man attacks them as well as they flee the scene.

Police forces summoned to the scene launched a chase after the burglars, who fled the scene in black Honda Accord vehicle. Minutes later, the police received reports of the suspected vehicle driving wildly on a nearby street and made their way towards it. While being chased, the suspects crashed their vehicle into a roundabout and started fleeing the scene by foot.

Backup police forces that were summoned to the scene continued the chase after the suspects and managed to arrest one of them. Police found the tools used for the burglary in the vehicle’s trunk, as well as several stolen license plates.
