"how much vac/sick time you got?"

I accienrtally saw another colleagues check stub..had 400 vaca and like 275 sick hours

of course hes been here 20 years and going to retire with those hours as an extra bonues

man if I had that much time Id be working 3 day weeks for years ha

depending on your benefits situation of employ, I say, do a straight year with no vaca or sick time and youd bank 100-150 hours so that when yopu do take time off tyou still havent dipped to far down and it grows withoput significant decrease when used

vacay carries over to the next year, unused personal time you get paid for each March. It goes to 3 weeks each after 5 years.

we get 150 hours of vacation time each year for the first 5 years. Then it goes up to 200. We cannot roll it over. We have to use it all in the year.

we get 90 hours of sick time each year. We get 45 in Jan and 45 in July. At the end of June, whatever is left from that 45, we can sell back to my job. OR you can roll it over. Then in June we get a new set, that we can use or sell back at the end of Dec. BUT if you roll anything over, you cannot ever sell it back AND its' the last used time. so you roll over 15 hours, get the new 45, get sick use 10. It comes out of the 45.

we get personal days every other month or something, you can bank up to 4 tho...and it rolls over. Most ppl wait until they get 3, and take one. so usually we take about 3 personal days per year for random things.

Oh but to answer your question:
80 Vacation hours
85 sick hours
3.5 personal days
My new vacation hours come in Sept, so i need to burn these quick.

And I'm ready to take all of that shit at one time

When I got out of the Air Force I had 45 days of terminal leave. I literally sat on my ass for a month getting paid for nothing. The only drawback was that I was southern Georgia which being there is about as exciting as watching spiders sleep.

because it makes paid time off (a formal benefit) totally subjective depending on your relationship with your supervisor

but anyway i got 100 hours grandfathered over that i'll be getting paid out when i bounce in about 2 weeks (!)

He would leave early ALL the time and take multiple days off a month to go to parties lol so he had like zero hours saved. He ended up being out for like 3 months. Luckily we have that leave share program, but he still ended up having to "borrow" a shitload of hours that he's still paying back

And his ass still leaves early and takes off multiple times a month to go to parties lol

I try to keep at least 40 hrs but my job is the type of place where they really don't care if u call out as long as u have the time

As u have the time. When ur low depending on ur direct supervisor u may get grief

Also now that I'm more involved in things at work, I try to make sure I don't leave anyone hanging if I kno I'm gonna be out or come in late instead of not at all for lack of sleep

prototype

stand ur ground, believe in urself,
believe in love, prepare urself for love, remove the negativity from ur life, and accept the love u kno u deserve

They make me money while I sleep. I can put any of my three online stores on vacation mode so customers know there will be a shipping delay. So as much as needed.

In response to Reply # 0

I'd be allowed up to a week sick up to 4 times a year without any questions or doctor's letters needed.

If I was sick for an extended period I'd get 3 months full pay then down to whatever the statutory minimum is enforced by the government as long as my doctor says I'm genuinely sick and will eventually get better/go back to work - though I don't think that amounts to a great deal, but it'd be better than nothing. I think they can get rid of me with a couple of months notice after the 3 months if I'm clearly not coming back.

The idea of getting properly ill stresses me out even though I've never had more than two days off in a row since being at school and I'm toying with private insurance for long-term sickness now I'm about to start paying a mortgage.

Then again, I recently exceeded 1k billable hours. That makes me eligible for paid holidays but I don't get any sick or vacation days.

I have savings put aside where I can take off up until two months and all my bills would be paid but now they serve as the RAINIEST of days account.
