Who's going and where? Known after-parties?

First time D' been to the West Coast to headline anything in a long time. Tickets in Oakland (the first date) sold out in about a minute.

I'll be at the shows in Oakland, LA, and Houston (because the tour basically fell into an already-planned trip: http://board.okayplayer.com/okp.php?az=show_topic&forum=4&topic_id=12782370).

And just to throw it out there, if there's room on here or somewhere else for a tour blog, I'd be happy to contribute. Let me know.

85 percent white crowd I was on the floor this white dude started to talked to me for a minute untill he finally got around to asking me if I had weed. Even with the Mumford and Sons Crowd D'Angelo couldn't be denied, D was in top form glad he did stuff mostly from the new album. Till it's Done was so dope live Another Life was unreal

well, i assume it was Houston, but anyways.

for those who have been to a show(s) on this tour: does he wear that dress at every show? i have to say, it was not a very flattering look for homie.

Apparently there were a few present and former OKPs there. I know my mans Longo was there, and some other folks. I didn't see 'em because I was up in the shadows of the balcony.

Good show, needed a little tightening but it was only the second date so that was to be expected.

Third time I've seen him (Richmond for Voodoo and VA Beach opening for Mary J) and this was the closest I've been due to the general admission/standing room of the NorVa. It was a great show with great energy and showmanship. He did seem to really enjoy performing and seems in a great place right now. I really enjoyed that show and hope this tour is only the beginning of new things from him. *Sidenote: that opener Meg Mac was actually really good too. Had never heard of her before...will be checking out her EP.

and told me she was really good, but i was late arriving because i was later leaving Richmond than i wanted to be. oh well. i'll look her up though.
