Nina Simone
-----------

When ever I see that dude Denny make a post, I can't click on the sh*t quick enough to read it. I know for a FACK it's about to be some woman related drama. It's like must see tv. Though his last post didn't have the usual fanfare of drug usage in it, I was still entertained.

James Baldwin
-------------

I offered one of my sisters friends my washer and dryer (for free), this broad had the audacity to ask me if I could bring it to her.

I guess she don't really want it. it's practically a brand new set. It's only 3 yrs old, front loading and all that. I was TRYING to help a sister out.

If she don't come get it tomorrow---I already got someone who wants to *BUY* it.

Ralph Ellison
-------------

I want the new macbook, but this trip to Chicago and this impending move says NO MUHPHUCKA.YOU HAVE ALREADY EXCEEDED YOU SPENDING ALLOWANCE FOR THE MONTH.

Why is being responsible so like....un-fun?

Guess I'll just make do with this ipad w/bluetooth keyboard along with the litany of other gadgets that are at my immediate disposal.

Langston Hughes
--------------

I need a vacation.
Sand.
sub 70 degree weather.
tropical plants.
water.

Bimini is calling me.
I might just pick up and answer (that call)

Zora Neale Hurston
------------------

I can tell the school year is coming to a close. My son's last day of school is 5/22 and he and I are getting on one another's last nerve. Nothing major just petty sh*t. I'm tired of our daily routine of packing lunches, ironing all of that---he's tired of me yelling to put on his clothes, grab his lunch and make it to the bus.

We both need a break from the monotony.

It's coming and soon.

GIMME FIVE!!!

Man, take that vacation soon. Spend the Mac money on that.
------------------------------------------------------------
10 - 12
Today is one of those days when I just wanted to stay the fugg home. But noooooo! I've got to lead a two-hour JAR session, from 10-12, that I am really not looking forward to.

7
In seven days, I will be making that drive from B'more to ATL. Woke up this morning thinking about doing that good Priceline bidding for a couple of tickets.

40%
Nordstrom's about to kick off that good half yearly sale. Might actually be able to save some real money while spending on the summer work warddrobe. Might even make them some triple-point days so I get more Nordstroms Notes which is essentially cash to be spent.

2.5k
My former employer tried to get me back by offering $2.5k more than I was making when I left. They offered that even after telling me that the long hours and horrible work-life balance would still be issues. I only wanted to go back because of the 6% 401k match and freedom to WFH whenever I chose to. I wasn't willing to take a damned near $20k loss. They musta forgot! (c) Roy Jones, Jr.

6
In six hours, I'm flying up outta here!

extra $2500.

Then I'm like you realize that's only like an extra $48 per week (before taxes)? I'd rather cut some of the unnecessary spending out of my current lifestyle than have to break my back and work long hours to what essentially equates to an extra $9.60 per day.

or if you want to really break it down an extra $1.20 an hour.

but that's just me over analyzing it.

oh, it wasn't a just up and buy kinda thing.
i've been eyeing them forever. putting money to the side here and there for a "gift" to myself. But now I'm going to Chicago in 2 weeks and my son has this sleepaway summer camp I have to pay for, in addition to me moving---I just can't buy a macbook now. I have this mental thing that keeps me from spending money on myself when there's life and responsibilities that need my attention. I'm always thinking something is going to break or come up that's going to have me tap into accounts that I don't readily want to tap. Typically if it isn't in my checking account, I don't touch it unless it's major.

I wanna have a party next yr for my 40th---but then I am reminded that I am anti social and I don't like spending money.

this is me. I hate wasting food. I won't waste nothing. Let me cook a hotdog and find out theres a piece of mold on the bun...I'll rip the mold part off and get to eating. Probably not healthy but atleast I ain't wasteful. LOL

1. I think I'm going to have to see a chiropractor.
Being on my feet constantly for so many hours a day is magnifying
every back issue I have, and I just refuse to live like this.

2. It's going to rain all next week. I'm so mad. Finally, the forest floor dried up
enough to take the trails again, and now when I have some days off... it's going to rain!
My poor doggy. Back to the concrete and asphalt walkways for us.

3. After work yesterday, I went for a bike ride at the park with my dog. On the way home, I cried.
I enjoyed my work day. Then I had enough energy afterward to bike my dog. I'm so happy and thankful for life right now.

4. I got a hug yesterday for the first time in... probably a year.
I needed that SO bad and didn't even know it.

5. So I saw this last night and it really hurt my feelings (lol):

"INFJ --You’re single because: You have trust issues.
You’ll get into a relationship when: Someone you’ve known for an unimaginable amount
of time finally wears you down and convinces you that you can take a chance on them."

It's painfully funny 'cause it's true! :-/

I probably haven't had a hug in 2 months. I know for sure my phone it has been 4 day since my phone has rang, and even then it was an automated call

for a free washer and dryer set i would def rent a 20 dollar uhaul van and pick it up myself. get a dolly and all that. washers and dryers aint that heavy. id make it work lol

my 5.

uno.
i ate a costco hot dog for breakfast today bc i had no time to grab some shit before my shift. as usual (lately anyway) something was fucked up with the delivery i was supposed to do (items not in stock customer didnt want replacements) i had a minute to eat and couldnt beat 1.50 for a hot dog and 2 drinks (i drank then got a refill to go) so i went for it. i should be good til 6 when my shift is over.

dos.
my son called me while i was out last night. he sounds so funny on the phone. he gets so excited he starts talking really fast and its half gibberish. his mind still moves faster than his speech but his conversational skills are so much better. they get better everyday. im so proud and i miss him. 2 more days.

tres.
smashed the plastic that covers one of the front blinker lights on my car (light bulb still in tact). yesterday trying to go around this van i miscalculated and hit some shit that was sticking out from their back bumper. i was more embarassed than anything. just glad the main light and bumper are good and their car was good (they didnt even stop dude kinda shrugged out his window and kept driving lol) i'll replace that other shit in due time. the part is cheap but im even cheaper.

quatro.
i need to move somewhere that's warm 90% of the time and hot the other 10%. summer hasnt even officially begun and im already dreading the coming of winter. i really hate winter.

cinco.
i am genuinely tired. tired and sleepy. i had fun last night and was gonna try to reach out to some friends to go out tonight but now im not so sure. chilling at my sisters house might be the move tonight.

Crush - I have a crush on someone who isn’t concerned about me in the least bit. Probably hates me in fact. I myself toggle between hate and love for this person. I woke up this morning in love, but by the time I was combing my hair in the bathroom mirror I was daydreaming about telling that person to ‘go straight to hell!’ Now I am sitting at my desk in love again. It baffles my mind how quickly I switch back and forth. I haven’t had any recent contact with this person, so it is not like they did or said something that causes my feelings to alternate. This is all based on memory.

Satisfied – That feeling of pride and satisfaction after having completed something and having done it well ... I am basking in it right now. I need more of this in my life.

Typos – I have fewer typos in my emails since I left my last job. I think it’s because I was always high-strung while working there. The amount of typos in that recent CW post was ridiculous though! But I think that exemplifies my point – I was upset when I typed that CW post.

Work Clothes - I am having a hard time finding anything I like right now. Which is great for my wallet but bad for my closet. I wore jeans every day to my previous place of employment (even though I probably wasn't supposed to, but whatever). Now I have to dress appropriately. I have plenty of clothes from years ago, but they are all either too big, too small or I just don’t like them.

Words – my coworkers keep asking me to define my words. For example, I asked marketing to approve the language for an email blast I want to send out. The chick responds with “Since you said approve the language I assume you will be putting the language into the correct new template as I described in my email yesterday”

Of course that is what I meant! That is why I said approve the language, not the email.

Then I asked a co-worker how she was tracking her contacts. She goes “by tracking do you mean where do I keep them or where do I update them?” Where you keep them is where you would update changes, right???

Ugh!

Last Saturday I graduated with my Bachelors, went back 2 1/2 yrs ago. people keep asking me if i'm happy. I dunno if happy is the right word more so glad for it to be over.

Socrates Fortlow:
since i'm done with school nothing keeping me here in Ohio.I can make a new start somewhere just gotta figure out where that is. gonna take these next few months to do so. I'm open to go anywhere, although i do have a few places in mind.

Leonid Mcgill:
re: women i just don't know
I'm about ready to just give up trying. Just when I think something might could happen, here comes some bullshit. Why is it so hard to find someone who is upfront and honest. shit

Raymond "Mouse" Alexander:
I need to do something adventurous/"dangerous". this mundane lifestyle is not hittin.

Ptolemy Grey:
on the other hand I've learned to appreciate the people in my life that are down for me and care for me. and the things I do have. When i sit back and reflect I've accomplished the major goals I've set for myself. now on to the next ones.
