I am supposed to be helping my homeboy and his family move into their new house tomorrow. No biggie. That it what friends do, right? But now I feel some type of way about the whole thing. Tomorrow just so happens to be his wife's birthday but instead of her sticking around helping muhphuckas move her sh*t into her home, she's decided to go out of town. Who does this? Am I being petty (this doesn't need an answer). It's not even the expectation of her actually moving anything, it's just the whole abandonment of what should be a priority to her. Did I mention she's also leaving my boy to move the sh*t and watch their two kids (the oldest being 8). ---- Fo
In addition to all above, my son has some community service at his school tomorrow in conjunction with his Boy Scouts troop. They want us to be there at 8 am. School itself doesn't begin during the week before 8 am---who does this scheduling sh*t? Needless to say that with all I have going on tomorrow, I've opted to take a vacation day today and keep my ass at home and relax....
Oh and we won't make it to the school before 8 am. It's not in the cards.

Now take what I said in both in #'s 4 & 5 and add in a 90% chance of rain. Life sucks. But oh well..

Ebay is the devil incarnate. It's payday here in GreasyLand™ and I am fighting urge to pull the trigger on a vintage gucci watch. I dont need another watch...but this is the exact watch that I wanted as a kid while browsing the back page of the Macy's weekly ad back in the 80's. The watch is only $90 but the level of accomplishment means a lot more. Kind of like when I got my first real job and I went a bought a Brooks Brothers suit and Johnston and Murphy shoes---I thought I had made it. This watch is kinda like the childhood attainment of that.
Now if I could just get some Jordan 2's, my life would be complete. -----

When ever I see reports of US drone strikes overseas, i think of a gang of those little sh*ts you see at local stores dropping mini-bombs and shooting 9mm rounds of ammo. We live near and air force base and yesterday my son and I saw an actual drone..

FUCK and DAT. I would feel a ways too she might not be moving anything but shit THIS IS YO SHIT! hubby has to watch the kids AND move an entire house without her help... what he do to piss her off? lmao

naw boo. this IS your birthday. thats cool. get your party on. we just will move either the week before or after. you aint jetting off & not helping AND leaving me w/ the kids.
that old martyr syndrome shit will be the death of us
4. "Naw, they gotta move *THIS* weekend. they finally closed on " In response to Reply # 2
their house after selling their other one. They got their sh*t in storage and they're in an extended stay hotel.
Eff her birthday, she can celebrate next weekend.

1. Man, things be workin' out. My training at the 2nd job (which will become my full-time time job) got pushed back to the day after my 1st job needs me to work full-time for the week. Things keep working out so well, it scares me a little.
2. So my ex told me about his new girl and then had the nerve to say, "Wait. You're taking this too well. You're too okay with this." That's what happens when you're delusional.
3. It's been 7 years since I was in a classroom. So while I'm excited about school... it's not as easy getting back in the saddle as I hoped it'd be. I'm having to go to the library just so I can focus. Video game music is a big help, though.
4. Biking around the lake with my dog has been the best thing ever. I'd like to point out that my biking shorts bring all the boys to the yard, and they're like "*compliments from afar*" because my dog thinks he's ferocious, lol.
5. I'ma need Blue Bell to get it together because I want some Moo-llennium Crunch.
>4. Biking around the lake with my dog has been the best thing >ever. >I'd like to point out that my biking shorts bring all the boys >to the yard, and they're like >"*compliments from afar*" because my dog thinks he's >ferocious, lol.
damn dogs.
LOL. But for real. when I'm out on my walks now, I'm starting to map out the places where I know mofos don't have their dogs out behind the "invisible fence" or just out in particular.
I don't mind dogs, but the barking at me because I'm a "stranger" shit puts me in Benson "cusses you don't hear but you know are coming" mode.

and his wife set his ass slam up. nothing much that can be done now.
my five...
5. Every time I go to NYC I feel it's never enough time to do all I want. The inverse though is, if I stay too long...i'm like what to do. LOL
4. IDK what's up with my ex-Bew. In some way, shape or form he manages to contact me every day. I'm just a bit confused. When you typically break up with someone you plan to roll out, not stay around. *shrugs* Don't know exactly what his deal is.
3. I'm about to dump comcast and go with direct tv. Seems my bill have went up the past 3 months. No ma'am.
1) when I know I owe money, I want to be able to pay it ASAP. one thing that kind of bugs me is if I use the credit card to pay for something and the charge takes 10 000 years to show up and clear.
2) the more I learn about cell phones and what the carriers do to them to offer you service at the prices they do, the more it bugs me. like, while I don't like all the "carrier" apps that I have to manually disable, stuff like shoving a CD installer onto the phone that I'll never use that I can't disable or remove that launches every time I plug in the phone via USB is dumb.
3) I put on two shirts this week I haven't worn (or really been able to wear) in 2 years at least. that was a shock. that really adjusts a lot of things.
4) It "snowed" yesterday over here. all I can do is laugh. and throw on that argyle sweater vest.
5) Clearing the deck. The "tour" that's been on hold for the last two years or so, is really gonna happen...

dogg. totally feel you on this. I like, I just remembered a watch my dad had: it was a Seiko automatic with a TV-style dial. I last saw it somewhere not being used, maybe broken, who knows, maybe a year or two before I left home. I always wanted one like that. Found one on the cheap on eBay, with a different colored dial.

1 taking a break from alcohol for real right now. not just a week like i did last week lol but for real at least until my birthday which is at the end of next month. i just can't afford to feel like how i was feeling yesterday anymore. people get to getting me free drinks and i get stupid.
2 in conjunction with me taking an alcohol break i'm taking a break from all fruit juice and sodas etc as well. water and coconut water only. lets see how long this lasts. i did pretty well with it when i was pregnant but that was def 3/4 years ago.
3 lack of sleep is driving me crazy.
4 looking for a daycare for the boy. i'd suggested it before and he was like well who's going to pay for it you don't have a job etc (at the time i didn't) now he's coming to me with this shit like it was his idea. ugh go jump of a bridge already. i don't really want him to do that but thats how i feel sometimes.
5 i really really really want to go back to sleep.

This watch is kinda like the childhood attainment of >that. ^^ You only live once. Buy the watch and dont feel no kinda way about it.
1 - so i had a dream last night that i was at some awards show pre-event and i sat next to gabby sidibe and we hit off and were like oh we have to hang out again. i also ran into some of my college classmates on the elevator at the event. one of the won an award and her son was there (cute little chocolate baby looked like one of those hollywood adopted babies and not like her real life son) and he really took a liking to me. i don't know what any of that means.
2 - i thought i could pack the corduroys away but NOPE it's frickin' frackin' cold out this piece. what kind of witch craft is this?
3 - mad fun at my uncle's party. as long as we've been together my boo and i never went out dancing. he was really under the assumption that i couldn't dance. i'm no danielle polanco but i gets it in! and now he knows
4 - i am too hype about seeing stephanie mills and chaka khan next month. something in the way you make me feel came on the radio the other day and i had church in the car. i luh huh!
5 - i've been shopping entirely too much but everything i've gotten has fit SO WELL. i still haven't found the right navy & white striped tee yet. and i bought a bissel pet hair eraser after reading all the amazon reviews and seeing the before & after pics. i can't wait until arrives.

seeing her in concert next month as well, if it werent for the fact that it's the same day as The Kentucky Derby (i'm a big horse racing fanatic) and the Mayweather Fight (I'm also a big boxing fan).
I was kind of heated when i found out the date that the show was on. I've seen her many times before though but not in my calm and I need to get away from these kids adult life that I know live.
25. "this is my first time seeing her" In response to Reply # 22
i'm so excited! i've never seen chaka live either unless you count an in-store appearance when come 2 my house came out she didn't perform though so it don't count

23 - The lil homie turned 23 this week. Didn't take or return my call nor did he respond to my text. If him being pissed at me is going to be the impetus to further his growth, maturation, and ambitions, then I'm all for it. Don't mean I'm not gonna miss our interactions and hearing about all of his ideas. Them damned kids never really know how much you love them regardless of them seeing SOME of the sacrifices you've made along the way. Sacrifices all in the name of love. Happy birthday to my dude: the kid I call "Chief"!
43 - With his 23rd just passing, I've been thinking about the fact that my 43rd is six months away. DAYUM! I remember when a few of the OKPs celebrated the "35 Days of 35" with me. Shit! I'm old. LOL
6 - Six pills a day taken out of each Energy & Metabolism VitaPak. They were causing me to be nauseous until this week when I decided to split them up. Nausea's gone and I'm still just as energized.
16 - The glimmer in my little's girls eyes, as she read the recommendation letter her GT English teacher wrote on her behalf, was got damn priceless. She's being challenged like never before in an academic setting and she's kicking ass. She even asked her old man out on a date. We had fun last night! Her at 16 ain't that bad at all. Nowhere near what I thought it would be since I'd heard and read horror stories of lil girls at that age.
1102 - The recomendation letter was for this program that her guidance counselor had already nominated her for. I might add that the guidance counselor wrote another glowing recommendation of my baby girl. Well, 1102 miles away is this place that I'm hoping will change her life. She, if selected, will be visitng a place she would have never considered before and it's all in the name of education.
