A teacher was allegedly attacked by a parent in the hall of a Long Island middle school — and in a disturbing surveillance photo can be seen knocked out cold.
Teacher Catherine Engelhardt was pummeled by a parent and a 14-year-old at the Alverta B. Gray Schultz Middle School in Hempsted Wednesday, police said.
“It’s not like I thought a parent would do something, but I knew something violent was going to happen,” Engelhardt told WABC/Channel 7 from her home.
“I’ve warned them time and again that the children have no respect for adults. Yes, I fear for my safety. They can’t control the kids.”
Irate mom Annika McKenzie allegedly pushed her way past security at the middle school to confront Engelhardt.
McKenzie was angry about an incident earlier in the day in which she claimed the teacher grabbed her 12-year-old daughter.

She allegedly put the teacher in a chokehold, shoved her into a wall and decked her, Channel 7 said.
Then some kids, including McKenzie’s daughter and 14-year-old niece, allegedly started kicking the teacher, the report said.
Engelhardt was taken to Winthrop University Hospital and later released.
McKenzie was arrested and charged with felony strangulation and assault.
The 14-year-old girl was charged with assault, police sources said.

same goes for the bus drivers i know...
and those working retail.
they know who to run up on and who to leave the hell alone. most of the people i know have no problem beating somebody ass and then either fighting for their job or proudly walking away from it if that don't work out.

NOTHING kids at that age does is a shocker. So unless it's a teacher they genuinely like, they'll jump in just to fit in..even if they've never had beef with them. Especially those who already come from a bad environment.

Well, I went to that school, my niece goes there now and my boy teaches and coaches there. His take. It was a very stressful day at school. The kids were taking standardized test for the first half of the day. Second half of the day, they were in school literally doing nothing. So the kids were doing what most 12-13 year old kids do when they have nothing to do. Running the halls, and acting out.
The teacher, who by my boy's account is a complainer and confrontational woman may have grabbed the girl who was in the halls when she wasn't supposed to be. He can't confirm exactly what happened because he didn't see it.
But he did see the mom walk past him and security, but no one really paid it any mind. He said the mom was waiting for the teacher when she got back to her classroom and it went down. He said the teacher wasn't well liked by the students and that she used to be the principal at the school.
For what it's worth, the school was wild when I went there. There was a lot of black-Latino violence and fights poppin off everyday.
