Brooklyn Moon because it's Mike, Emily's because it was a favorite restaurant and the service and quality never faltered, even though the owner's kid ruined the restaurant and closed it.

A few years after I moved to Philly I would come down and hit up the spot they opened across the street from the original one.

Only been to the one on Hull one time on our way to DC. Shit was nice... that whole area has come up.

Great staff, great service, food was on point and healthy for a fast casual place - lots of salmon, grilled chicken, ahi tuna etc. Owner was a cool dude and engaged. If you're in the ATL area, check em out.

Streets won't let me chill.

They are nice, polite and remember me when I come in. They smile and act like ice cream is a good thing. They hire young black folks that have sense and make eye contact (which sounds like a little thing but lots of places don't do that in NYC.) The ice cream is made right on the premises and taste better than blue marble, which is expensive and hires hipster bitches that give me attitude because I ask for my cone in a bowl. Not to mention Blue Marble is also a day care so there always bad ass children tearing around the place while their parents look on unfazed and guaranteed to take 30 mins to order once cone because they spend 25 minutes trying to coax little Emma or Grayson into picking a flavor while 6 people stand in line.

Anyway, stop by The Local Brooklyn Bell if you're near the Brooklyn museum or prospect park. It's worth it.

on a Saturday for a cheat meal, assuming I remember. It's too bad Christie's is closed down. I think the two spots are fairly close by if this Brooklyn Bell spot is near the Brooklyn Museum since Christie's was fairly close to the Grand Army Plaza Brooklyn Museum. I hope Brooklyn Bell is doing well. seems like that's a nice spot for business, assuming is pretty close to the Brooklyn Museum.

It was annoying to have to wait on the long line, but that is good in that it's a sing a Black Owned Business is doing well. The ice cream was fresh, but not too sweet. And like you mentioned, the clerk working the spot was very polite, which is rare in NYC.

lil restaurant around the way. i know i just got through shitting on west indians in the other post but these haitians were born here and understand the concept of good service with a smile.
they went through some kinks in the beginning with inconsistency but i kept going bc i went to school with some of the owners.
the food is mad good and they're always really nice when i go.
also i'm just noticing that 90% of the 'black owned' businesses i frequent involve food

I was taking some beginning ballet classes there and they were taught by a professional black ballerina who was in the company years ago. I got so much attention from her even though no matter how hard I tried my plies looked like I was doing the dougie.
Lol

First mechanic. Brother from Coasta Rica. Good service and prices and you can order the parts youself to make it cheaper. You can tell he is good cause he has steady business. When I went to get something fixed there wasn't a problem with it again. And he had a warranty.

Second mechanic. Cool brotha who has a 9 to 5 and does mechanic wotk on the side from home. Found out about him after first mechanic. Fixed problem at good price which was lower than first mechanic. Saw him yesterday at work and said to this lady that he is a good mechanic. Coincidentally she said she needed work on her car. I told her to get outta line and holla at him b4 he left the parking lot. She got up with him and he said he's help her.

Brotha who is a certified bazi astrology practitioner. Quick follow ups on the emails and answered all the questions I had. Good service and follow up. Which is more amazing cause he has a family and a main business that keeps him rippin and running.

She gave me hella extra shit on what I thought was a pretty standard order.

My dad sent me on a hunt for some book that probably could've gotten to his door in a day or less, via Amazon. The store in Greenbriar had it, no fuss, no muss.
