you just have to redirect the conversation and let them continue to talk and talk and talk.
or maybe, it's not a problem at all, and both ppl like you and ppl like me need to get over themselves and accept that ppl may get on your nerves sometimes,

It's the combination of Unassertive, meek, introverted, reserved all in the same boat that i'm talking about.
It's rare.
And i'd venture that most (if not all) of the butt hurt folks up in this post taking offense wouldn't fall into the very specific category combination I described.
But yeah...passive aggressive sucks too. But at least it's an action...SOME kinda action.

I work in IT, so roughly half the people I work with are like that. they just need someone assertive on the team. Just assume the leadership role if you have to deal with them.

In other words...somehow...they've found themselves in a position of authority over something that is being modified....they need to call shots in order for this thing to get done....but due to their personality the total opposite is happening. And for whatever reason....there's actually a GROUP of them all involved in the same project... lol.. It'd be funny if it weren't so tragic. Hell...I'd LOVE for just one of them to get their passive aggressive on...then at least there'd be SOME movement... .

i can interact with ppl just fine, but i need some chill time alone to gear up for it.
you ppl, extroverts, find it energizing to talk to introverts nonstop, and that is energizing for you.
even if your thoughts are not well organized and are still in a brainstorming level of development.
so introverts have to account for that and prepare for whatever talking extroverts will want to do first thing in the morning.
and if that seems like a butthurt characterization of extroverts, that's because i was pointing out how ridiculous it is to throw shade at an entite group of ppl that have a different psychological make up than you.

and I am better at doing it when i insert time for myself to decompress and plan how I am going to deal with somebody.

Just like most of my replies on here. I ain't really take old boy's post seriously.
But I actually did fit under all of those categories for a big part of my life. So the 20 percent of me that wasn't kidding stands behind my, 'fuck you, buddy.'

Funny enough, I was always the kid given "leadership" prizes and picked for those conferences and stuff. But I was meek and shy and all that, like to the extreme. I just knew how to turn it off when I worked.
I grew out of the meekness and shyness, so now I'm just a reserved, introverted adult. And I'm considered "mean" lol because I am assertive in a no-nonsense way. But also "easy going." However that works.
