"Where DOESN'T the weather suck?"

Outside of socal, the weather sucks everywhere in the US. It's either too damn hot, too damn cold or both. I haven't been to Hawaii, but I suspect the weather there is perfect.

let's be real, the winter can be gloomy as fuck, but it's pretty gloomy most places outside of Florida and the Southwestern states. on the bright side, you don't get snow were you live, but if you WANT snow you can drive 25 minutes to the mountains and go skiing/sledding/boarding/etc.

however, spring is usually pretty good - somewhat damp but some nice days and mild temps, and unless you really NEED super hot temps, the summer is probably better than anywhere you can imagine. sunny, no humidity and temps betweeen 78 and 88 with a few hotter and cooler days here and there.

it's not.

there are times of the yr when the weather in NorCal is too cold - like summer.

plus it's supposed to rain frequently in winter. when it doesn't that creates miserable conditions in the summer and throughout the year, really.

but anyway, i would vehemently disagree that any part of Cal outside the San Diego area has the best weather in the continental USA. not w/that May gray/June gloom situation coupled w/the cool summers that result in folks wearing SWEATERS from May through September.

hell no.

fuck you.

Not all warm and shit, but pretty nice in the afternoons lately.

I believe there were thunderstorms down in So Cal a few days ago. We haven't gotten much rain at all lately up here.

I'm not brand new. I know that means I'd have to wear long sleeves or carry a sweater or hoodie. Bc 70 degrees ain't that warm and at night the temp will drop - especially after the fog rolls in.

I prefer to go all summer without a jacket, sweater or long sleeves. Anything less is too cold.

If Georgia weather stayed like it is during April, I'd be cool. But that damn June, July, August, September = BRUTAL. Sky high electric bills due to A/C on non-stop. Sweat just walking down the driveway to the mailbox. Cutting your grass makes you need a breathing machine. UGH. But I love Georgia from October to April.

it's pretty clear ATL's weather sucks to most ppl generally for at least half of the year. when i say 'most ppl' i mean most ppl on earth or at least in the USA not 'most ppl' who live down there. i expect most ppl who live there find the weather to be to their liking for the most part.

In response to Reply # 16

It's warm there, for sure. Central Texas has heat that makes you feel like you might die if you spend too much time in it, and enough humidity to make it gross. Houston and the Gulf Coast make you feel like 100 people are spitting on you at all times.

47. "ATL can get hot but for the most part, it isn't too bad."
In response to Reply # 34

I felt a difference between here and when I visited STL during their heatwave. Now THAT was unbearable and made ATL feel like the AC was on outside by comparison. For the most part, ATL is more bearable compared to my hometown in southeast GA which gets much hotter and way more humid. You know it's hot when kids don't have the energy to go outside and play because of the high temps. I experienced that during my childhood in my hometown.

I think the southwest is worse. over 100 way too often. just feels like being on fire, but at least there's no humidity.

and stand on unairconditioned platforms.

omaha is much more extreme. hotter and muggier and WAY colder in the winter.

it doesn't snow as much here as it does there (anymore).

but its more extreme with the heat, rain/tornados, hail and cold.

routine negative 10 days in the winter, routine tornado watches in the summer/spring, routine weeks wehere it's 95 every day and 83 at the crack of the dawn.

In anchorage this year or very little. Like all of December almost no snow. November a little. Nebraska had one 3 inch snowfall and one 6 inch and that was that. Last year same deal. Lot less snow. It's just really cold.

I moved to San Diego a few years ago from Chicago. I was surprised the housing was more expensive than Chicago, but San Diego is not nearly as fun.
But I'm not a beach person so the main attraction of San Diego doesn't appeal to me.
