+ tough week but i've been able to make some firm decisions and i'm ok with that. can't always please people but i can please myself and i'm putting my foot down and not allowing folks to treat me like shit. DEAL WIT IT!
+ finally got into my studio. i didnt make anything, but i needed to be in there and get comfortable with it. i've started organizing things and i'm seriously considering getting a intern to help organize my work in a more professional manner.
+ charlotte was ok. it wasn't fantastic but it was a great learning process. definitely didnt get paid enough but i've learned some great lessons about finances, budgeting and how to prep my work for exhibitions. now the real work is going through all my work and creating a profile sheet for them with very specific instructions. it's going to take a lot of work but it will be worth it. i also got really good feedback about the work and had some really emotional visitors. the show is getting a lot of press coverage, which is something totally new to me. we were even in the sunday paper! lol
+ so happy to be back home with my boofaces. this child has been doing is chappelle impression all week. he got mad jokes and has been so sweet. i can't stop hugging and kissing him. i find myself just staring at him sometimes.
taking this crazy kid to the zoo today and then prepping for his valemtimes day tomorrow. we're doing arts and crafts in the crib.
assuming things don't go catastrophically bad (which is always a possibility), once my dad's estate is settled, I should have enough money to completely pay off my car and my mortgage.
Needless to say, this would be a major change in my life, and it has me thinking about a career change, and going into freelance writing. With the golden handcuffs off, I wouldn't have to spend 2.5 hours a day in my car driving to a job that doesn't really make me happy. I could make less money and still keep a roof over our heads. I'd be able to work from home and spend much more time with my wife and baby. I could finally exhale.

thank goodness for editors. lol. but anyway it's nice to have a bit of affirmation when i've been in this weird slump.
had some good feedback about my research, starting to see where i'm going with it.
tinder is so fucking funny. i'm sure the same is being said about me, but there are so many wack motherfuckers on there, i am more amused than anything.
i'm looking forward to having a week off school and catch up with friends. have a great weekend everyone & happy valentines day, if you're celebrating! xxx

this was a heavy week on myriad levels. glad i made it through without any major meltdowns. i'm actually trying to conserve my emotional energy for sunday when i have to say goodbye to one of my family's nearest and dearest friends at her funeral. i already know i'm gonna be a mess and a half but i am thankful that my family & i get to pay our respects.
