Deflategate is a topic of conversation, but I'm not hearing a lot of buzz about the actual game.

it's really become a social event for me - somewhere to go get drunk, act a fool, catch up with the homies etc.

I caught the 1st three wks of the season and between cutting off the cable ANYWAY, and being parent/husband/man I just gave up.

Deflategate seems like the only compelling reason to even discuss the game. I think Seattle got it.

Mainly because people generally hate the Pats and because the Seahawks fanbase isn't that deep outside of Seattle.

I mean, people get a kick out of Richard Sherman and respect the defense, but that about it. They don't really have true superstars.

I love old black folk. They got a whole different take on characters like Sherman and Lynch.

If I did not have $$ invested, not to mention, Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas being injured, then I am not sure I would be as interested in the game as I normally would be. In all, I am roo g for the Seahawks because of their defense, Pete Carroll, Russell Wilson. I hope it turns out to be a good game.
