"damn... 'ye w(hite)ashed"

its crazy because he had some epic rants in his 'yeezy' press runs
but i guess running with Rassi & McCartney is where the $$$$ @
what's even more depressing is how wack these new records are and how they seem like some attempt for next years grammy's
i guess quincy jones, herbie hancock, george clinton weren't good enough to work with, since he's going that route
maybe this what a musical 'walt disney, steve jobs' would do

Whenever a rapper decides hip-hop is too limiting for an ARTISTE of their stature, they don't go blues or jazz. It's always rock.

The punk kids gave him a chilly reception and won them over with authenticity after 2 songs

He doesnt belong on that list imo

I also really liked Re-Animation, their remix album. Had awesome verses from Motion Man, Chali 2na, Aceyalone, Pharaohe, and our own Black Thought. Some of the remixers were guys like Evidence, Alchemist, X-Ecutioners.

LP studio albums...not so much.

These three made albums still steeped in blackness. Whether they were good or not? Depends on who you ask.

I always saw someone like Mos effort as an effort to reclaim rocknroll for black people. Different from the idea that hip-hop is so limiting like other folks who I will clown for dabbling in rock.

the early Ice T records are good in relation to the era they were produced

Mos, def struggled to make studio quality records on his New Danger album, but they translated fantastically live

Common? are you talking about Electric Circus? i hope you're not, because that album is excellence and the last Great album he made and because of chicken shit MFers like you, he completely turned away from the direction of that album.

Kamaal the Abstract is a DAMN good album

3Stacks is the least of my favorite from the bunch, but he even made some good tunes

then there is Cee-Lo who hits more than misses

I also prefer Ye Graduation to MBDTF period than pre, even tho I can't rock with Yeezus or these two new singles

it seems more like y'all are the ones who have problems with Black artist moving away from sounds and images you assume to be more authentically "black", towards cultural production that are READ as "white"
