but goodbye to the character that left...what's crazy about last season runs is when you kinda reflect just how much work the actor/writers put into a character and it gets sad

Episode 1 was good. This is the first time that I have been legit fearful that Boyd won't make it. There's an ominous mood in all of the scenes involving him. But it's Boyd, so who knows. I kinda feel an Omar vibe for him this season tho.
All the showtime joints are good. Yeah Shameless need to slow it down a little, but I still like it.
That HBO show w/ Pete from The League is pretty good.

Taraji runs this show....She is the reason why I tune in. She chews the dialogue up like fucking steak....She will get an Emmy nod for sure because she makes Empire more believable beyond the fuckery (I also like the "gay" son on the show. He adds some entertaining drama to the show...)

We wait until they give us the free weekend and then binge watch full seasons of Episodes. Unfortunately, the free weekend was the same weekend that this current season started. Gotta wait til next year.
* Did anyone watch Benched? It was on USA maybe a month ago & it starred Eliza Coupe (from Happy Endings). I think they may have done about 10 episodes but that show was HILARIOUS. That chick is a great comedic actress.

and no idea what the intention was but i think it's unfair to make a comparison like that when it has so few episodes.
also stuff that sticks out to me more is the relationships between the kids, and i thought they started developing the characters more in the 2nd series, which is why i thought it was a shame to stop there.

Omg Spiral season 5!!! I can't believe I'm still the only person watching this! D'you all have something against subtitles? It's an excellent French crime series. I also recommend Gomorrah from ,sat year - Italian crime show set in Naples, adapted from film of the same name. Fucking brutal.
New UK show Crims. It sounded stupid (comedy in a young offenders institution) but I still gave it a chance - I couldn't get through one episode.
LHHNY I feel like I'm only still watching it out of habit.

A) Ridiculous unnecessary sexual scenes (Ex: The blowjob bib, Lucious's significant other coming out in her panties to make Cookie jealous)
B) The Ratchedness (Ex: The scene where Cookie throws her shoe, Cookie's personal assistant, Cookie eating a treat with her mouth all open, etc)
C) Wasteful Opulence (Ex: Jamal's expensive loft having an elevator, Cookie shocked expression when visiting Lucious's huge Mansion, etc)
D) The Gay (Ex: Jamal rolling around in bed with his boyfriend, Lucious not accepting Jamal's gay, Cookie accepting the gay but can't accept his son dating a white woman, Lucious, as a kid, dressing up as a pretty girl and the reactions, etc).
Once the story for Empire becomes less than decent i'm bailing.
