and most artists feel more comfortable with Angie.

But no, the Breakfast Club isn't really able to have conversations like that.

And it actually has more to do with Envy and Angela Yee than it does Charlamagne.

Charlamange is actually pretty insightful when he wants to be.

Envy and Yee are the super-shallow ones. They typically don't have any relevant follow-up questions that would allow that type of conversation to take place.

Charlemagne isn't bad it's his tone and delivery that mess him up
A lot of cats come up there on defense because of
How he approaches ppl.

And I keep forgetting Angie is over there now
Her jcole interview is was good stuff

Charlemagne is fine and does good/entertaining interviews.

Yee and Envy are basically worthless "yes men" meaning the only value they add is "uh-huh"-ing the real shit Charlemagne says.

when I think about how alot of people are in the wrong careers. He wasn't a comedian to me. He seems to be more....what's the word....almost yellin, almost philosophizing...at you more than joking. It's more of that than jokes. Whereas Richard Pryor had the joke and philosophy balance.

You have to understand that Mack being underground for almost 10 years here in Seattle has shaped him. He's been schooled by the old heads (read: black) in the Seattle rap game the whole time. He had to earn their respect, etc...so he knows his place and is aware of the access he has simply because of his genetics.

It's easy to lump him in with an Iggy, etc. if you don't know his background. But a lot of people don't realize he's been grinding for the past decade in the PNW scene. I think anyone with familiarity with that scene knows that these conversations probably aren't new to him.

You can't put him in the same category as Iggy. Dude, is too insightful and he knows his ish.

Because he doesn't want to be clumped together with that...it does his talents a disservice...
