I was half surprised to find out most of the members were Black and young. Just thinking about the street-smart notion, would you trust an organization whose most applauded member is named SeeMore Green?

as a Waiter, instead of being kitchen staff. Plus his wife is working, and they have to be getting some sort of cash from the state to take care of the foster kid.

the airing of this episode i had the displeasure of having family members and a few friends trying to make me join that shit i feel like the height of its popularity was earlier this year around spring time what troubled me the most about it was the way folks would catch the biggest attitude with you if you had any questions or declined to join. the venomous subtweets and memes were the best too i'm just glad that shit is over. i mean i guess its still around but everyone i know personally who fkd with it gave it up all around the same time.

Its always the same people and 95% of them are church members.
One friend kept saying "If I signed up 2 weeks earlier I would have made bank"
Its always "almost" when it comes to these schemes. When you break down how much time they work trying to make money I bet it comes out to .50 cents an hour.
Most of these people could use this energy buying shit for $1 and selling it for $2 and make bank. The get rich quick gets them every time tho.

but to keep it real...
if you catch something like this early enough...
u really can come up quickly
or if you just have that much social currency or influence...
but most of these people are always capable of making some cake in some way or another...it's usually just a matter of time
the delusions of the folks who fall for the laws of attraction appeal of this shit are really fascinating though
as a realist who often slips into cynicism fairly easily...it takes a lot of effort for me to understand the appeal wholeheartedly
it's fascinating as fuck though...dude said he felt like he was born for greatness and that WakeUpNow was his avenue...and he seemed completely convinced that he was not only gonna be one of the 4% who turned a profit but of the 1% who used it as their sole source of income
Let me sport my Air Hyperbole 2010s in peace. (c) ansomble

I always hear about a person who knows a person who knows a person.
Its damn near impossible to get in at the top and the only people winning are the ones running the demos that hook the 99% into giving it a shot.
My friend droppd 500 on 5links... and everytime he hit his numners his supervisor spwould tell him "if you signed up a month earlier you would have made a bunch of money"
They gave him a debit card with some money on it but I dont think he could actually get money from an ATM. If he missed his quota for the month that money would be gone.

while everybody else lose whatever start-up money they put up after having wasted way too much time & annoyed the shit outta way too many of their family & friends...

I used to think it was just gullible mofos, but that one dude working at a restaurant begging for a raise...etc.
80 bucks a month ain't alot, even if you have nothing, if you think it's going to help you get your dream.
And the parallels to capitalism and poor republicans voting against their self interest is there in spades.
That said, if someone could really hone in MLM and prosperity gospel? DOLLARS SON, DOLLARS.
