"Poll question: best dressed (per capita) women in the country?"

so somebody was shitting on wilona from good times talking abt how a woman that well dressed, w/ that kinda of money wouldnt live in the projects

to which i said its been my experience that the more historically ghetto or hood or whatever you wanna call it the area a person is from...the more they gonna wear that kinda name brand label shit & if thats what you consider dressing well....i mean put it like this, pick the AVERAGE well dressed woman (age is immaterial) off MLK Blvd, Any Hood, USA & the AVERAGE well dressed woman (of any race or age) from that same cities suburbs or middle class areas & invariably...hood chick wins.

which then got thinking...best dressed women in the country.

from what i can tell its detroit. again. PER CAPITA. this is not to say YOU, anonymous woman reading this from wherever you at is not fashionable & dope & stylish & all that. its just saying that PER CAPITA, meaning in aggregate numbers...there are more "well dressed" women from or in detroit then from or in other cities.

thats all im saying.

posts like this are why im the GOAT. btw.

Poll result (24 votes)
atlanta (1 votes)Vote
los angeles (1 votes)Vote
new york city (17 votes)Vote

basketball wife sort of way. They all have the weave, designer shoes and bags, similar jewelry etc. Well dressed sisters in LA, New York, DC, and Philly are more creative and there's more variety.

Especially not compared to DC, LA, NYC, Boston
And your hatred of The South is showing.
Atlanta is the Queen of "professional Black women" so by virtue there are TONS of "well dressed" black women in their YSL and Alexander Wang "power suits"

I've seen "creative" dressed women in Philly in that Black Lilly / Odunde type of way.

Yes, I was joking with you about the fashion but I still do feel some type of way about your distaste for The South and you call yourself a af-am studies scholar.
You might as well be in the kkk if you hate the south.

Again
This fashion stuff is pure troll mode
But a philly nationalist is a hard way to go
I liked very little about Philly when I lived there

I kind of sound the same about Philly as you do about the south
As in Philly as ZERO quality women that live there
Now the suburbs of Philly is chock full
But city proper is garbage
The city is too blue collar or very lower middle class to shine

But yeah, I dig your af-am approach but I really wish you would embrace the south much more.
Our experience down here needs to be respected

NYC has a bit of that Paris or Milano vibe. But I hate praising NYC so I'll paraphrase Klosterman who said "They're all the same girls you saw in South Dakota or Wisconsin, only now they've all got gym memberships and subscriptions to Cosmo."

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

How typical of a black male to incite further division amongst women by promoting destructive and unesscary competition. I never see white or asian men catagorizing women by region and quality of clothing.

NYC is full of transplants. So like all the fashionable people from Topeka or Idaho move there. Unfair advantage. Detroit is nothing but natives. That's organic.

Atl the gay dudes dressed better then the women. Nope.

Detroit still #1

Other than that no city wins hands down
LA got that cali beach swag
DC and Atlanta women be more "proffesional" with it
More layered and put together
Like with the power suit and pearls

DC had those political lawyer type women that just be CRUSHING IT
Lobbyist too

But if your talking strictly nightlife
All be the same but then add in houston to the mix as well
The H be catching me by surprise each and every time I go out
STUNNAS

indmix don't even tell the full story

New York has an unfair advantage of attracting cool (real and imagined) people from around the world (forget just the country) who relocate there for the sole purpose of adding or partaking in its "cool". Mix that in with with its long fashion history and there is not much competition.

The average New Yorker is not fashionable. Far from it. But you can find the highest concentration of fashionable women there more than in any other city. Regardless of the style tribe you subscribe to.

edit:
I abhor LA style for the most part.
That city also attracts a different type of transplant than NY.

about 1% of the people who live in those cities
the handful of people at event xyz you went to is not representative of the whole
believe it or not i'd rank a place like san fran over nyc if we're talking about the average person

from Detroit?
anyone their now is balancing dressing with affording their water bill

and Willona worked at "the boutique" so she had to be on point

Donna Karan defined an nyc battleground look
yet few still wear black tights on the subway and this is why ebola has come

Ralph Lauren made a wasp look popular from the bronx
now people are opting for c. wonder

plus how do puffers and fur still translate to the runway,
do designers have insider info on global warming?

left coasters and southerners can not fully compete until they have seasons

to answer the question - DMV women dress best
