During an appearance Tuesday in Baltimore, Rock referred to Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger as “the original Cosby,” according to the Baltimore Sun.
“That’s horrible, that’s gonna go everywhere,” he added for his anti-Steelers crowd of Ravens supporters while promoting his new film “Top Five.”

Ben was probably in college or high school when Cosby was first accused of rape lol Unless chronological order now means in reverse then yeah the analogy makes sense. I love Chris but that was some idiotic joke. Well at least the wording was.

that was the whole basis of his joke. That a white guy was accused of rape and they let it go so why not Cosby? But Cosby the black guy was accused of rape and people let it slide years before Ben. What is hard to understand?
Btw i still love Cosby regardless of what happens to come out so lets not get it twisted as if im defending Ben cause I dont even watch football but that quote by Chris was horrible. Lets not regurgitate it.

You're parsing the words and analyzing the joke structure. This is an off the cuff remark he made. It wasn't like he said it in his latest stand up special after workshopping it for six months. He made a joke where most people's visceral reaction is to laugh.
