"HBO's Newsroom and Aaron Sorkin shows (spoiler Alert)"
I'm sure the continuous banter is supposed to come off as intelligent and witty but all these characters come off as self righteous assholes or dumbasses.
And some of the major storylines are just dumb esp this season. Like house does a multibillion dollar company miss a hostile takeover bid like that?

i got through one and a half seasons of West Wing and the first season of Newsroom. Maybe if I was more into theatre, i could appreciate his steez more, but I'm pretty sure it's just not for me.

(the analog in the comics world is Brian Bendis, who is an avowed Sorkin fan)
The biggest problem with The Newsroom is probably the lack of any true conflict or character complexity, in lieu of characters just making over-articulate, declarative speeches.
That being said... I still enjoy the show. After a fashion.

We the children of the Light, you know what I mean? That's why I'm hating on the darkness like Paula Deen Cause in my hood they masked up like it's Halloween We going hard for the Rock, but we not some fiends - Andy Mineo

Not the least of which bein that opening scene with Bradley Whitford havin a long self important monologue down a hall behind a dollied camera.
Speaking of which, I would like to see some prequels of that movie. Other times the Old Gods nearly destroyed the world and the evil machinations of the Ozymandian well-meaning saved us all with a 5-head sacrifice.
