They have great drinks and the food is really good. Be careful though the wait can sometimes be between 1-1 1/2 hrs. But if it gets busy hits the bar and grab some apps while you wait.

- Kyochon chicken (korea town - bomb chicken wings)
- little bear (downtown. Short ribs benedict, Belgian waffles and Belgian beers)
- Perch (downtown. French food with a rooftop view)
- Craigs (westside. Crazy expensive fried chicken that's actually worth the price.)

In response to Reply # 0

There are some other good ones and ones I want to try for sure but that is a good range with a couple cheap choices and then some above-average priced ones.

Mastro's for steak is awesome, the seafood towers are just good (not great) and they are absurdly priced. Water Grill or Fishing with Dynamite are better for raw seafood.

Sasabune is my choice for somewhat pricey sushi but honestly my favorite place is a (still expensive) hole in the wall that RD Hull told me about. It's not really in L.A. (IE all the way) but fuck is the guy good and very picky about his ingredients. He is arrogant and has a lot of rules despite his very meek demeanor and the annoying-as-fuck Christian rock CDs he plays every day. That said, he will make whatever you want for a price and his menu selections are very good. Fish quality and variety is just great, the quality, prices and craftsmanship do not belong in a dinky little eight-table space in a shitty strip mall and the guy knows it.

Mendo Farms sandwichs are great, I think, they just feel so light and so right in the belly. I am very picky when it comes to sandwiches.

Roscoe's requires no introduction!

Providence and the Ivy are my favorite places for legit fine dining. I don't know what the Ivy charges but I bet it ain't cheap. I dined on someone else's dime there, had a wonderful lobster dish in a very pleasant atmosphere. Providence was pricey but not exorbitant, great combinations of flavors and presentation. N/Naka was another place I liked a lot, the chef's selection thing was like $200 before all was said and done if I remember correctly. Very creative.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

I really liked the grand central market in DTLA. I ate at Eggslut, Sticky RIce, and McConnel's Ice Cream. I also bought a shit ton of kambucha from better booch and shipped it home to myself.

In Chinatown I really enjoyed Eat Chego.

The best Tacos ever were from Mexicali Taco on N. figeroua st.

I also at pretty good mexican breakfast at homeboy industries

I also had really delicious food at True Food Kitchen in santa monica.

I ate at a lot of little hole in the wall spots too. Everything was so fresh and so good. I can't wait to go back.

I was blown away by the customer service too, the owner threw in fries for my wife just because

I had the mild sandwich which is still on the slightly spicy side but yeah everything about it was perfect if you treat it like a real restaurant and dont mind paying $11 for a chicken sandwich

Im not super experimental with Thai, so I kept it safe and had the shrimp fried rice to go. I more so preferred Chan Darae (closed now) that was by Amoeba

but HACHE the burger place across the street from Night & Market Song is amazing to me

Escala (Koreatown) - i ask all of you eat the fried red snapper or the spicy chicken & waffles
Habana Vieja (Southbay) - this shit is MUAHHHH
Nozomi (Southbay) - pricey but worth it. the abolone... mmhmm
Ackee (Caribbean in Leimert) - best jerk chicken in the city IMHO, surprised I aint mention it in the OG post

talk to Buddha while eating amazing food-

"All visitors, regardless of faith, are welcome at the temple. There are English-speaking tours available on the weekend as well as classes like yoga, meditation, or Buddhist chants.

“At Hsi Lai Temple, we welcome all people to attend and if you come here, you are welcome to partake in our vegetarian meals and talk to Buddha,” Shan says.
