quizno's is OK, i guess. jimmy john's is pretty much ass. the sandwiches are CPK are terrible. subway makes arby's look like le bec fin. arby's is also nasty.
sandwiches are just lacking as far as chains go. there are some good places in the northeast and the odd decent deli here or there. but overall i can make a lot better sandwich at home, picking and choosing the ingredients, quantities, etc.

they started popping up in philly but there were so many good sandwich options that it seemed like a waste. i think i did go once and it was decent; i'll have to try your suggestion (although maybe not with ranch ... what is ranch supposed to taste like anyway?)

anytime i'm in a city with one, and it's open, and there's space in my gut, i'm stopping. that regular sandwich--eating it is like a ball massage of the tongue.

I thought with the end of Quiznos, it got out of style. I guess stuff never get out of style. Just new clones show up, with new bells and whistles, and people forget that they were disinterested with a product/service.

i'm from the land of hoagies though "soft bread" and stuff like that doesn't make my toes curl a good hoagie/"sub" is pretty basic stuff and most of the places mentioned in here might as well be subway to me
