This guy gets home, blows off racist steam, thinks about it for 9 months, and then, when faced with the consequences of his actions, regrets it all. Yeah no, you have to take responsibility for your own actions when you made the decision to attend a rally held by a man whose entire agenda is racist.

He's admitting what he did was wrong. Doesn't sound like he's complaining about being punished either.
I doubt this old dude would ever just randomly sucker punch somebody like that. I'm thinking he got caught up in emotion like so many other do (not just talking about Trump rally goers here. I'm talking about everybody) and made a bad decision.
Looking back at it, he feels remorseful for what he's done. I believe him *shrug*

Trump won because people are tired of the establishment and nothing screams establishment like Clinton and Bush.
