"How come y'all ain't tell me about_____?"

I just learned that Volvo will send you to Sweden (2 tickets) to pick the car up from the factory, put you up at the hotel for a night and feed you. You can drive around Europe for as long as you like and drop it off at any authorized Volvo dealer and they ship it back to the states for you. They're currently offering a $1000 discount on the cars, and because they ship it to the states as a used car, you save on excise tax.

We're seriously considering it because my sister LIVES in that town and we've been planning to visit for a while now. We need a new car and this is just too perfect.

I would just buy a used volvo and pay for the trip outta pocket.

but it sounds so damn pimpish to say you went to the factory and drove all over europe.

I wonder what the insurance is like tho... what if you get hit?

tickets are mad expensive. And Volvos are expensive, but if we can save a couple Gs on the car AND get the free trip, it migh be worth it.

we started out looking for used cars, but for our specs (1-3 year old AWD crossovers), people were asking 18-20k for used, and we were like fuck that, minus well get the new-new for that kinda money.

still think they're an aquired taste. but they're my go to cracker because of the fiber content. and yeah perfect for cheese and crackers. you can put them in the oven too with a little meat and cheese and they're pretty yummy.

The Triscuit is the best cracker, hands-down. It's the best cracker with toppings, and it's EASILY the best on its own.

the gentlest (60 year old cashmere) handwash with conditioner and hang across three rungs of the drying rack so it's basically of flat. conditioner will stretch the fibers out and prevent shrinking.

less gentle (wool and acrylic) i may use tide gentle wash which is basically woolite. never let them spin, the agitation will make things shrink. will probably use sweater bags and turn inside out. so any pilling that happens, happens on the outside.

always cold water. always delicate cycle. always wash separate or similar colors together so fuzz for pills from one color doesn't transfer to the others. but not too cold. if it's 10 degrees outside you need to be careful about this. that will shrink like hot.

also YMMV by washer. we have two washers in the basement. one washer we have eats stuff up like towels. ya might have to handwash everything.

okay this is a two step system. their nailpolish then their top coat. secret is you only need the top coat. so for less than $10 all your nailpolish can be instantly bulletproof. its about twice as good as seche vite. mine lasts looking great about a week. only nailpolish i've found tha'ts packing tape proof. no uv light is needed.

Flew to Copenhagen from DC
stayed in Copenhagen and then flew to Gothenburg
there is a stipend you get for a round trip flight to Gothenburg and we upgraded ourselves with our own money
you get a free night on Volvo at a nice hotel and we just stayed two extra nights and chilled in Gothenburg
did a factory tour and a gourmet lunch
drove our car on the Nurburgring (highlight of the trip)

>Did you bring your own financing

no we did it through the dealership and then refinance a year later
