I don't care what role she's in it's always unconvincing. IMO her worst role was in Set It Off. She's the most unconvincing hood chick ever, all of her scenes were cringeworthy. That role could have gone to someone like Regina King and the flick would have been waaay better.
(edit) I just went to Youtube and watched a few clips of Set It Off. Vivica Fox's acting was quite possibly the WORST I've seen in a long ass time!!!

Admittedly, I haven't seen any of the Kill Bills and everyone says those are good. But from the things I've seen her in, I can't figure out how she has a career.

As soon as I see her name flashes in the opening credit, that movie is off. Every movie she's in has the same plot. she will hate the guy, then like the guy, fall in love with the guy, hate the guy, then love the guy again...Roll credits. Her acting is horrible too.

choice for mediocre movies
When Ethan Hawke turns down the role--it automatically goes to Mark Wahlberg who has it in his contract that he can't turn down any role because well he's the last person.
Marky Mark is the last person on the sh*t list that gets trash roles of both Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. I'm sure there's a role turn down flow/org chart of both Cruise and Pitt that end with Wahlberg being the last possible point of contact.
It is also my summation that recently directors have (recently) confused Tom Hardy with Mark Wahlberg and have ultimately given shitty Mark roles to Tom Hardy in error.
The sad thing about all of this is that there hasn't been a Mark Wahlberg movie that I haven't paid to see.
