Yeah, I *STILL* ain't forgot about that sh*t. I haven't forgiven the masses for duping me into that purchase. I was so sour about that sh*t that I went in the post that heralded it and upped it in hopes that some other lost soul would make the same bad buy. That was the only way I couldve felt vindicated. I had to pay it forward.
Yall almost got me for that first Joss Stone album too but luckily a future ex girlfriend bought it for me. It probably still has a snapple bottle condesation ring on it from where I used it as a coaster---but at least I wasnt out of the money.
What havent you forgiven OKP for suggesting to you.

first record sounded like he recorded that shit in a dank basement, second one was slicker but more knockoff sounding and then he went like big-time production with videos and all sorts of shit. i fucked with him before he did any of that and he was on tour with the roots. just a genuinely funky dude even if not everything he does pops. he takes chances.

was it great? No but it wasn't bad. She tended to "OVER SING" on some of the songs, if that makes any sense to you.
The album itself just didn't have the cohesiveness that her contemporaries (i.e, Jill/Erykah/L.Hill) did at the time. But when my phone is on shuffle and her song comes on, I'm not quick to skip or play something else--which if you knew me says a lot.
