Batman Begins was fantastic, but the other Nolan films secretly kinda suck.

The Batman franchise that began with Tim Burton's Batman has one good (but terribly dated) film, and a bunch of steaming turds.

The first two Christopher Reeve Superman films are solid, although the second (even the Donner cut) is a fucking mess riddled with Deus ex Machina and wtf-powers. We will not speak of the other installments.

I will entertain arguments for Adam West's Batman. It was really good, for what it was, but nothing else is close to Flash (which actually isn't great, but merely very good)

My criticisms are about the quality of the show itself. Ion't think it's a smartly-written show or well-acted show.

Caitlin is the weak link.

Not saying it needs to be dark and gritty and too serious. But the writing, the dialog, the attention to detail, the performances.

I really don't get how people overlook how weak that shit is on the Flash. Like, what's GREAT about it? Even the action is dumb a lot of the time. I feel like everybody's Punk'd-ing me.

Still, I'm glad it's a hit, though.

not only is the tone of the two show dramatically different, the tone of the source material is miles apart. Then there's the Network vs Cable (netflix) divide, the biggest difference of which is season legnth. It's far easier to craft a tight 10 ep season than a tight 23 ep season.

I liked the Burton flicks....A lot...The second one was even darker....I dug em...

I like West-Batman. It was supposed to be campy and West turned that shit up to 11. Fun show....

Every scene that doesn't feature Ledger or Freeman is tedious. No one gave a fuck about Two-Face, and the film ran 30 minutes longer than it had any right to.


And Superman 2? Supes ripped the "S" off his chest and trapped the Phantom Zone criminals in it.

and Superman trapped them with the S off his chest for all of a 10 seconds.

I concur, after seeing "Daredevil", it made me realize how much the Nolan Batman films missed the mark. I want the folks who work on the "Daredevil" show to do a "Batman year one" mini series.. That shit would be epic!!

I had high hopes for "Gotham", but at this point it seems like more a slightly less campy version of the Adam West Batman series from the 60s.

around episode four of Daredevil, I said to myself man this is what Batman movies, if they wanted to get gritty, were suppose to be.

But I was laughing my ass off.
I really like the show bc it's funny and the characters are silly in that way. I like that the show doesn't take itself so seriously. I like it far better than the arrow.

My only complaint is the way the female characters are written. That goes for all the cw joints tho. I want to smack iris.

Gotham, Arrow, and The Flash, Flash is easily the best. Compelled by every episode...may go into withdrawal when the season ends in a couple of weeks.

Gotham is good, but is somewhat uneven at times, too many storylines at once for me. Arrow lost me altogether. Started strong, but I think it parted from the original story too much...I guess that is partly from making the story modernized, but...meh.

Looks like they went to the traditional origin of Flash. I'm ok with that. All I ask is that it be better than how they massacred my favorite DC hero, Green Lantern. That was abysmal, hopefully they will do that better the second time around. (well, it couldn't be much worse, so...)

It's a great film on its own. But it's a shitty Batman film.

It's hard to compare it to the movies, but it's level of cheesiness is only surpassed by Superman III & IV, Green Lantern and Batman & Robin.

I do like the show, but Dr. Wells is it's saving grace.

the acting, the script, the tropes, the villain a week bullshit that never works.

arrow falls victim to this as well BUT both shows are very enjoyable, mindless TV. arrow takes itself way too seriously tho.
