I remember I saw that list somewhere on the boards...I was reading Homegrown's liner notes today and couldn't remember some of them. Would someone be kind enough to post it again? Much appreciated !

pretty sure the liner notes of home grown mention at least two or three women considered for the jawn
Artist 2: Alicia Keys? the only hint in HG liner's notes that makes me have doubts is "in late 1998 when she was recording her debutt record for another label (other than the one she currently records on)"...Alicia Keys always been on J Records if I am not mistaken
Artist 3: One of the chicks from Total? "Artist 3 had a well known powerful music executive who worked at "the world's most powerful label". This particular executive is one of the key players (in my opinion) of the current state of Apartheid/Civil war that East Coast hip hop finds itself in." Is that Puffy? Apart from him and Dame Dash I can't see who would claim that and I don't think Roccafella had a flagship female group back in 2005
Artist 4: Marsha Ambrosius? "Artist 4 has Philadelphia connections as half of a duo that did a lot for the "New Soul" movement. She was a prominent song writer..." Floetry were on Touch Of Jazz and their album were produced by Andre Harris, Vidal David, etc.
Artist 5: Bilal
Artist 6: Angie Stone? "Artist 6 is a singer/singwriter, an artist in her own right. Known for he very quick ghosting abilities on other prominent Neo Soul projects"
Artists 7: Dice Raw? Rahzel? "although not a technical singer..."
