I'm still on the M-audio fast track pro:

but want to upgrade to something with more inputs and use a fire wire connection.


I'm about to cop the new iMac in a minute and want something that works best with it - or something just better quality..

what's good? or what's best to use with the iMac?

It's fuckin jumbonious, but it's a life-saver because it has a USB hub on the back. I've got my Maschine, MPK25, and USB turntable connected to the hub. From the 4 inputs, I've got stereo from my Mac's headphone jack and stereo from the turntable.

I'd still need all those features in something new, but hopefully something that comes with ProTools.

and I really like this thing. It like a much, much, better version of the MBox Pro series (2 & 3. I had the 2 and worked with the 3). I would much rather use firewire, but the usb 2.0 function has be nice so far.

pre-amps are crazy with this joint! I can use the optical in from the Roland for multiple inputs......this Apollo shyt looks official though..

And don't really see the need to upgrade until driver support for finally dies off. It's been a really good interface.

they don't make a driver for Win 7 64bit....hard to believe but I confirmed with the cat at guitar center....sux

I'm still in the process of learning all the plug-ins on the Apollo twin...but so far so good...

actually I'm using the Apollo twin along with the Scarlet Focusrite 18i20....
