It has been established that Collosus eyes can be damaged.

Rougue would sap his strength but lose her powers.

Namor is an arrogant prick just like Aquaman. He would beat him the same way he beat Aquaman.

Like I said, Storm beat Cyclops without her powers (Uncanny 201). Once you take off his visor, he becomes an erratic fighter.

Havok gets beat up on a monthly basis by people with hal his capabilities.

Rogue wouldn't lose her powers,even if Juggs got hit in the eyes,it wouldn't do anything,and he'd throw a house at Batman.

Batman beat Aquaman...who has nothing on Namor.Collossus went toe to toe with Gladiator,and even if Batman could touch his eyes,he couldn't do anything else.Cyclops could destroy the whole area,as could Havok.

Batman's toughest enemy wouldn't last 5 minutes with even the weakest enemy any of those guys have faced.

Of course Batman could beay anyone based on how he is written. He is the hero, the star of the story. DC isn't writing stories about how their most popular character gets his ass kicked, they write stories in which he always wins. Even when he loses, like you said, he regroups, formulates some bullshit plan, and comes back and wins.

Based on his actual abilities, most superheroes would hand Batman his ass. He can't beat shit.

His opponents are written so that they lose. It's never a fair fight. That's why the Batman fanboys argue he could beat anyone and the non-fanboys know that Batman would get stomped out.

The Batman fans always couch things in terms of how BATMAN does things. Do these other superheroes make a habit of letting their enemies research their weaknesses, stalk them, and beat them in a surprise attack?

Of course not. I'm merely setting up a fair fight. Batman loses in a fair fight. But if you give Batman the advantages of:

- he gets time to do his research
- he gets to build/buy whatever he needs to win
- he chooses the venue
- he chooses the timing
- he gets to plan a surprise attack

no wonder he wins the battles then. The odds are stacked way in his favor.

But give any of the heroes cantball (or anyone else listed) those same advantages over Batman and he's completely toast.

With those same advantages, anyone could beat Batman (and a lot of other super heroes).

Batman is just a normal dude. One well-planned surprise attack and Batman gets hit with a .44 slug in his skull and he's dead.
Anyone with super strength could kill Batman with one surprise blow to the skull.

You can't give Batman time to research, stalk and surprise attack his opponents. Even if that's how he rolls. Because if you do, clearly the whole scenario is being set up for him to win, and what's the point of that?

This is why I keep saying it should be a fair fight. And unfortunately for the Batman fans, he gets handled in a fair fight.

I love how Batman always gets away in these scenarios to fight another day. People act like no one but Batman strategizes or plans for an attack. Every superhero does that shit from Superman to Wolverine. Get beaten go home, lick your wounds, fromulate a new plan of attack. Batman isn't unique in that regard.

But to sit here and think Batman is meeting any of these fools at high noon on their turf is ludcrious.

Isn't it equally ludicrous for:
- Superman to fight Batman after Batman has acquired a bunch of Kryptonite
- Professor X to fight Batman after he's built his Juggernaut helmet
- Hulk to fight Batman after he's got his anti-gamma ray gun or whatever
- Spiderman to fight Batman after... whatever he does to prepare for Spidey

You're saying Batman would never enter a fight he can't win. He would avoid the fight until he had the advantage. So of course that's why you think he wins.

Why wouldn't his opponent do the same?
- Superman can fly around overhead scanning for Bats with his x-ray vision. When he finds him, blast the whole building with his heat vision until Batman is dead.
- Professor X can wait until Batman eventually takes off his helmet. Then his brain gets fried.
- If Batman avoids the Hulk until he becomes Banner, then Banner would avoid Batman until he turns back into Hulk. Banner is smarter than Batman anyway.
- Spiderman is just as smart as Batman and could wait until HE had the advantage over Batman (which is basically anytime Batman doesn't have a surprise attack)

My opinion of a fair fight is on neutral turf, zero (or equal) time to prepare, and the two dudes battle it out. Almost all of them beat Batman.

You can rig the fight so Batman wins, but you can also rig the fight so Batman loses.

My point is that if the fight is fair and not rigged for anyone, Batman usually loses.

Plus the orignial post was about batman being "fully armed." The fair fight scenario was never brought into the equation until cantball came along to make his crazy suggestions. If dude had time to research and prepare for his fight, he'd be able to contest a lot of those hero's mentioned, period.

Is there anyone that Batman couldn't possibly beat, even if we rig the fight to give Batman every possible advantage?

That's not a very interesting question if you ask me. You could make the same post for any other hero and they could beat most anybody too.

I mean, you could give the hulk unlimited prep time but he'd prolly just run around smashing shit. It's how you make use of this prep time that separates bats from the other heros that bol named. You could give sups prep time, but I bet you bats, if given the same amount of time would still out-smart him. But he already beat sups, so who cares.

For Batman, prep time is the one advantage that most people want to give him to make sure he wins. But he's also allowed to "lose the fight, regroup and come back" and it still counts as a win. That's bullshit.

However, anyone who had the advantage of surprise could easily kill Batman. He's just a normal man. One surprise attack from a super powered opponent and he's probably dead or incapacitated.

So for Hulk, one surprise punch and Batman is dead. It wouldn't be about prep time, just surprise.

For Superman, surprise would work. But basically, all he needs to do is just fly around overhead and blast away with his heat vision. No one could really hide from his x-ray vision (unless they can turn invisible or something) and most people can be burned/heat by his heat vision.

My point is, Batman has an advantage when he gets to prepare ahead of time, build/buy specialized shit specifically targeted to his opponent, and then stalk and surprise attack his opponent when the conditions are advantageous. Most anyone could win in those conditions.

By including prep time, you're biasing the fight toward whoever is smarter and has more resources. And guess what? Those are basically Batman's only advantages (though with equal prep time, the other smart opponents would destroy him - Mr. Fantastic, Spiderman, Dr. Doom, etc). With prep time and resources, a "genius" character can usually beat a super powered character through technology and exploiting that person's weakness. It's not about how great Batman is, it's about how the fight is being rigged for him.

By giving anyone surprise, that's a huge advantage.

Also, no one is really considering that Batman is just human - he can easily be hurt or killed because his weakness is basically everything. Anyone with the slightest bit of prep time could come up with a way to surprise attack Batman and its all over.

That's why I say it's not a fair fight.

A fair fight to me is only when the two characters square off in a neutral venue, no surprise attacks, etc.

the level of madness that the pro-Batman posters are suggesting when they say Bats could beat those guys. Ya'll are choosing Batman over people who honestly aren't even in his league.

I can see matching Batman against Wolverine, maybe Spidey, definitely Daredevil or Captain America. Bringing in major dudes like Surfer and Hulk are crazy because we all know that Batman would get stomped.
