i mean i get you, but let's be real. we don't like to think about it, but we'd go crazy if we thought about everyone that had went "before" us in the tub/toilet/bed etc... that's why they invented cleaners.

i assume the bathrooms are somewhat gnarly so thats why i choose to stand and take a shower as opposed to marinating myself in the gotdamn tub.

you do what you can do. i cant get around the fact that i have to sleep in a bed with sheets (i toss the comforter to the floor tho), touch the doorknobs, etc...but i can very easily get around not having to take a bath while visiting a hotel. pretty easy.

i usually shower after but its not because i'm thinking of semen and piss. I don't like the feeling after a while.
i'd do the same thing at home.

washing sheets and linens is mandatory. faililng to do that would be an egregious violation of the public health code and you'd get shut down. not saying it doesnt happen in some skeezy ass motels but any somewhat decent spot is changing your sheets daily. like i said they dont wash the comforter which is why i dont mess with it.
to the degree in which housecleaning scrubs that tub down with clorox prior to your stay is a whole 'nother issue.

shouldn't be surprised that others like Whitney did. There's definitely some people out there even more concerned about germs than you that would never stay in a hotel room at all because others had been there. But there's PLENTY of people (probably a majority) that are fine with using a hotel jacuzzi, and wiling to pay more for a room that has one.
You especially shouldn't be surprised about a veteran musician using one, when a good chunk of their lives are spent on the road and in hotels. Even if it was a hang up for her, she would have gotten over it after a few tours of being on the road most of a year.
