"When Agendas Collide."

In the midst of The Prophecy unveiling itself
in the form of a Cleveland Renaissance, Kang's
return has fueled newborn agendas that pit true
Bron fans against true Cav fans.

I say enough of this non-sense: unite the 7
Kangdoms.

Us true Bron fans - whose loyalty is not wholly contingent
upon whether James chooses to play for Dan Gilbert or
Mickey Arison - will not pretend that we are lifelong Cavs fans,
just as we didn't pretend we were lifelong Heat fans.

In return, we know you won't pretend like you didn't try to desecrate
the name, persona, and reputation of your Returned King, buying old, weathered James jerseys off e-bay on some "I still got my original! I'm a true fan!" in an attempt to hide the fact that you - as a grown man - burned jerseys and cursed the Kang name simply because Cleveland couldn't surround James with anyone but Antawn Jamison and Mo Williams - and like all great Messiahs, yours had to go on an exploratory journey to bring the gold back home.

So - air out your franchise v. player stannery in here. Because the era of the Cleveland Renaissance will be one this league has never seen before...starting in just a couple months. And I'd like to to unite the Houses of Kang with the Houses of Cav - because as stated when observing James in a luke-warm scene at AA Arena in Miami during a regular season game last year..."I bet he can't wait to return home and feel the electricity of the Cleveland fans again."

Cavs fans aren't in a good position because they
been actively rooting against dude

Lebron fans are whatever

Strangely, Basaglia, who was a Duke/Kyrie fan, and therefore
had nothing bad to say about Lebron, looks the best out
of everyone and is in the driver seat, can decide to accept/
reject/waitlist whomever he chooses

Not to say his ride is entirely smooth, as he's weighed
himself down with agenda baggage like Anthony Bennet and
Wiggins being bad and Jabari Parker

But I have to admit...Basa kinda earned this

because I was a Melo fan, which is often overlooked.

all i did was give LeBron his props and leave him alone, just like I gave Peyton Manning his credit and left him alone.

When a great player wins it, the hating journey is over for me. there's nothing left to say.

i respect bron's game...he's top 7-8 GOAT for me and he's only 29, but i've never been pressed for the guy.

>because I was a Melo fan, which is often overlooked.

Its overlooked because it didn't happen. Or happened
in your own head.

And its definitely easy to overlook when you ignored his
best season ever, talked about "playing to seed" only
to ignore it the following season when Indiana didn't
"play to seed" vs Miami. Little stuff like that...and
highlightig how Kyrie and Love have shitty teammates,
while not acknowledging that Carmelo got to a 2-seed
on a team where JR Smith was the 2nd best player and
Jason Kidd was the starter for half the season.

I'm not asking you to stay consistent. Inconsistency is
part of the fun.

All I'm saying is that the inconsistency and contradictions
have to be done more artfully.

I'm easily the most artful of the agenda architects. Not
the most bold. Not the most creative. but artful. That is
Orbit_Established. I'm teaching a class on it on coursera.

Cool.

However, you still have the RIGHT to captain the agenda.

That's what I'm saying.

Don't know how you feel.

melo used to always get in Bron's ass in their head-to-heads and i cysed melo heavy during BOTH olympics.

i never said a word about melo until early 2013, dogg. fact!

you can't find me hating on dude before that.

i started that whole SCK thing against Iverson because I didn't want him anywhere near Melo.

He has agendas to juggle requiring immense
multi-tasking slant analysis. I can dig it.

Also - he's definitely a social engineer when
it comes to Kyrie, clearly rolling with the
"Young Ky Ky the Gawd & the Cleveland Cavs"
when referring to this year's squad. Not exactly
the shining beacon of objectivity you purport.

But I'm all for it. If Kyrie is as good as Basa's
dreams portray, then that's a huge win for Kang.

I'm just happy to not have to suffer through more
D. League Wade careless turnovers & missed defensive
assignments while Bosh yawns on the 3-point line all night.

It might be insane, but there's rhyme and reason to
it all

Kevin Love's #2 school was Duke, and UCLA is far
away enough that Basa didn't turn on him like he
did Harrison Barnes...he saw Love play, saw people
hating on him, supported him....Ba earned that. Only
problem here is that he's whined about Love's bad
teammates, didn't make that same concession for
Carmelo

Kobe Bryant was going to Duke, which is why Basa
is a Kobe supporter

Kyrie Irving went to Duke, which gives him agenda priority
over Love and everyone else

Heck, the reason he roots for Duke has a reason:
Johnny Dawkins is a DC-legend, and Basa was watching
Johnny Dawkins at Duke in his baby carriage

but it doesn't have to. Only college team I ever
stan'd out for was the '89 Flying Illini
squad with Kendall Gill (my fav. all-time player),
Nick Anderson, Kenny Battle, Marcus Liberty etc...

I rock w/ a lot of Illini alum (derek harper, deron
williams). I grew up in Illinois from ages 3-9
and my dad was a huge illinois fan so we it was seeded
in me - so i can rock w/ this:

>Heck, the reason he roots for Duke has a reason:
>Johnny Dawkins is a DC-legend, and Basa was watching
>Johnny Dawkins at Duke in his baby carriage

cool. But "Kyrie's team!" though? Not cool.

I'm very high on Kyrie - his play-making ability
and creativity w/ the ball in his hands is going
to make life easier for Lebron and present a dynamic
we've never seen with Lebron. I always felt that if
Lebron joined Chicago in 2010 (MVP year Rose) - that
it would be an unstoppable offensive juggernaut.

If you thought Wade & Lebron were nice in the open court,
Kyrie x Kang is going to create unbelievable highlight
reels - and their creativity will develop faster than
what we saw with Lebron & Wade.

Still, it's Kang's team. Kyrie has accomplished exactly
what Kevin Love has: nothing. They both are playing
with one of the 3 best players to ever play the game
when Bron's career is all said & done. So while they are
fine players, you fall in line when Alexander mounts the
horse and leads the warriors into battle.

Kang's team.

I grew up a Laker fan. I idolized Magic and that's where my allegiance will always stay. Growing up in Ohio, the Cavs were the only NBA squad. But I lived an hour & a half from Indianapolis & 4 hours from Cleveland. I never felt any type of loyalty to the Cavs at all.

But Lebron came to play against my rival high school during his senior year. I went to peep it and see what the hype was about.

I was sold immediately. The kid was the truth.

So when Cleveland drafted him, I had to begrudgingly pay attention to them. It's tough to say I was rooting for them but by rooting for Lebron, I pretty much was.

I have a ton of friends in Cleveland. And the way they acted after The Decision was shameful. It set my Cavaliers-hate going again.

So here we are and I'm still a fan of Lebron. I love his game & love watching him play. He's got his rings and has proven himself to be a great player. So I'll watch and probably root for him again. But it'll be easier to not root for the Cavs this time around.

And on top of this...I really do love the city of Cleveland.

not LeBron himself.
not LeBron fans. the guys who just like the guy without agendas.
not even He-At fans. the guys who go wherever he at.

but LeBronies.

the people who have built a cult around the mythical LeBron James. the guy who has had a better career than Michael Jordan, but has actually lost more Finals series than Kobe. the people who couldn't stop talking about Cleveland even though he was in Miami. the people who complain about people harping on that 2011 "No Mas" performance but can't stop talking about Comic Sans and 3 dudes who burned jerseys on camera out of however many Cavs fans who did no such thing. the people who liken LeBron's free agency to people marching on Washington. the people who pretend LeBron James has a post game rivaling Magic Johnson. the people who demand complete compliance in worshiping LeBron James.

they are legion.
they even existed in Cavalier fandom.
their temple is ESPN.
they are mortal enemy.

on this board, this segment of LeBronon is largely represented by SouthEuclidMan and (S)hit (E)ating (V)ulture aka Antoine Doodoofingers aka Mrs. Aubrey Graham aka I Take Shits In Niggas Yards, Eat Fermented Limburger Cheese and Sauteed 5-Day Old Onions, Wash It Down With Booty Juice and Don't Brush or Floss.

yeah, ain't gonna be no kind of truce with those niggas.

As for LeBron himself?

As long as he got that Cavs jersey on, and he don't do no Favre shit, the bad words will be minimal, but I won't let the bullshit about Cleveland fly. I ain't about to start kissing ass because he came back, he gotta show and prove in that uniform.

Yeah, I rooted against that Death Star Miami Heat team, just like I did Cheese Eyes and the Bulls in the '90s. it's what I do. I root against the establishment. and the only reason the Heat shit was so fervent was because the shit was personal for me. I didn't want to see those LeBronies partying.

It's gonna be weird rooting for a team that essentially is the establishment, but hell. at least we still got Kyrie Irving, which is the thing I cared about most this offseason besides Mike Brown getting the boot, and the Cavs getting -something- out of that bullshit last season. they got all of that and more.

y'all can root for us if you want. But fuck LeBronies.

Go Kyrie.

what L did I take with Andy? he was and still IS a poo-poo game manager. Michael Vick kept his job alive for at least 2 seasons.

and Chip Kelly cut one of the top 2 best Eagles on the squad and let him go to a rival. guys in his spot are mostly doo-doo. some of his draft picks are looking suspect. I had no problem with Chip until this offseason. and he had no reason to do none of this shit. so it better pay off.

>why you lining yourself up for another L with this kyrie team

another L?

because I root for a dude who didn't run when the team was at its shittiest and got REWARDED FOR IT?

you can't spin this into any kind of L.

I know what a L looks like. stat padding after catching cramps while nearly being swept in a NBA Finals series with other stars on your team.

Kyrie won't be doing that shit. but I know who did.

lol yea *that's* what happened in the Finals. Wade, Bosh,
Chalmers & co. didn't play like trash, boasting worse productivity
than Bron's former Cavs Finals team (which I know you are intimately
aware of). It was Bron's fake cramps that did them in!

Nope. Bron didn't play very well in every single game, single-handedly winning them game 2 in S.A. with a heroic performance, while
getting no help. It was just him 'stat padding'.

lol k.

We've been over this - #WhoHealedYou is the movement. Your wounds can be sewn shut and the healing process is beginning.

It's gonna be ok. Ky Ky's gonna be ok. Alexander has returned from the Far East to reign again at home, and he's bringing 2 gems from Solomon's Temple with him this team so that others in Ohio may access the sacred scrolls. Kyrie's big bro is here to take care of him now and ensure that he actually gets into the playoffs.

Everything's gonna be ok.

24. "sounds like you still have some issues to work out re: Lebron"
In response to Reply # 9

Because as it stands, your disdain for a contingent
of people who are pro-Lebron is clouding your ability
to be a clear-minded Cavs fan. This is where I think
it's interesting: Cavs fans who cursed Lebron for life
now have to make amends for the fact that he did something
they never thought was possible: return to Cleveland - and
return while he's still very much in his prime.

You have to account for that somehow - and ragging on this
mythical Lebron country that states he's already better than
MJ (that's a minority of fans) while ignoring the loyal
Lebron fans who are as loyal to Lebron as you are to Cleveland
is irresponsible.

Lebron fans are as entitled and legitimate in cheering for this
Cavs team as you and die-hard Cleveland fans are. The divide
is silly.

After all - this is Bron's team. I found it interesting how you
say Lebron has to show and prove in a Cavs uniform - as if he hasn't
already done that. Also, it's interesting how that responsibility isn't transferred to Irving, Waiters, Tristan, and the myriad of Cavs
who haven't proven anything of substance yet. But Lebron? yea he better show and prove? nah.

Kang's team.

a strange, but entertaining agenda war....

Basa gets by because he's so unabashedly hardcore and batshit crazy when it comes to his Duke agenda...lol...Dude believes in his agendas...He's not bullshitting around...He even acknowledges the absurdity of his various agendas...

I don't agree with all his agendas (his continued attacks on John Wall, who actually led his team to the playoffs; the Melo beef...)...at all...

But this cannot be debated: Basa was one of the only dudes on this board riding hard for Kyrie when people were questioning whether or not he was smart high draft pick. The boy proved he can play...Now he has to prove he can be a winner...

Kyrie fans should be thanking the basketball Gods for Bron James....

GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

all i've ever wanted for kyrie is another STAR for him to run with. he is a completely different player when he's around other STARS. i see his passion deflate when he drops off a pass for Tristan or Zeller and they fuck it up. Or he kicks it to Dion, who almost invariably goes into his whole routine, missing Kyrie on cuts or refusing to swing it back...or WORSE, passing up a WIDE OPEN shot to make a tougher one.

i was not asking for a lot.

but, what has happened...man, i'm thankful. for real. this is wonderful. and i can't wait until the season starts.

Remember every time you root for Bron yet shit on Cleveland, you've tasted this Cleveland nut.

When you refer to Bron as the GOAT all of us smile just like people from Dallas, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, and every city the nation shits on for not being a great place to live.

But like Doc said, the Cavs bandwagon is closed. Lebronon is free to leave that Miami team and let the "real" Heat fans root for their squad. Come out to Cleveland and enjoy yourselves. Above-it-all-fuckboys should stay in a hotel near the stadium. However, the rest of y'all should come through and absorb the culture. It's not the fucking Taj Mahal but none of your fuck ass cities are because there are shitty places in every city. Either way Lebronon come through and rep your superhero. Bask in the glory that comes with rooting for who you feel is the GOAT.

How does Lebronon feel about this Kevin Love trade?

I'm really curious how Basa is somehow being lauded for his 'Rie agendas

when CLE just eliminated CHI w/o him

I really wish folks would make declarations before games/series

for example

if 'Rie is still hobbled AND CLE gets to the finals

w/o his normal contribution

then what?

let us not forget, the first 3 years of his career did happen.

also, after a recent trip to CLE

tip of the hat to Bron

whatever cache his brand has, and translates to $$$ for the city he plays in

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2014-07-14/lebron-james-s-return-to-bring-500-million-a-year-to-cleveland

no city

NO CITY

in the US will benefit more than CLE

well done sir.

He simply became the figurehead for clowning on rabid Bulls fan - which
I'm in full support of. They wanted to tweak it to be a 'kyrie v. rose' agenda
showdown, as nobody on this board really wants to acknowledge the cold, hard fact:

Bron is carrying the cross for an inexperienced, injury-stricken team with a rookie
head-coach that no other player in the game could carry to the Conference Finals.

These cats think Steph Curry could carry *this* Cavs team deep into the playoffs?

LOL.

Harden?

Nein.

>if 'Rie is still hobbled AND CLE gets to the finals
>
>w/o his normal contribution
>
>then what?

Then it's an incredible achievement and further testament to the Kang James Version of NBA greatness. And people will not accept the cold, hard facts.
