I know many of us have made memories and friends here, and I wanted to express that a little bit. from my heart of all hearts:

i can not even BEGIN to thank you. can't fashion up the words that could come close to how appreciative i am of you all. because you have given me a reason to write. a reason to want to swing my hips more. a reason to love the pouch in my stomach that made me a mother.

you made my dream come true. as cliche & trite as that sounds. i was searching for a group of women to relate to. to open up to. to connect & compare life/love/battle scars/belly laughters with. and all of you accepted my invitation. all of you welcomed me into your lives beyond a screen name. beyond poetry. you offered me yourself at your weakest. at your most naked. at your most beautiful & truthful. you offered me YOU. as well as took in who i am.

what more can you ask for?

i feel closer to ya'll then i do my friends outside of computer screens...because with you i'm not pretending to be okay all the time. i'm not pretending my life is right on track.

i love our community.

& i have you women to thank.

Some days its just good to know there are other women out there going through the same things. Your wisdom and honesty shines bright. You inspire me as well as the other ladies... Revolt, Wolfie, Mindful, B Poet, and Noni. Forgive me if I forgot anyone. Thank you for being my solace and strength at times when there is none. i don't care how many months or years flow between our conversations...you're one of the most important people i have ever met.

that's all i can muster. just...wow.

well, no, that's a lie. heh. we've never met face to face, lady, yet i've felt closer to you in spirit than most peeps i deal with face to face.

and the connection, if i may be so cheesy and obvious...is beyond levels (sorry, i HAD to...again).

i see what you do for this ragtag community that we've been in and out of. first it was okaypoets (and i found out later that someone grabbed my poem offa that site b/c it moved them)...now it's honeychile. and you're back up here with a vengeance. i may not always comment, but i am checking.

one of these days, when the hurricane that is my life subsides a bit...when the winds calm down and i get a chance to get out to the east coast and do my thing...

i would love for you not only to be there, but for us to sit around with a bunch of other heads and just read to each other. at 2 am over cherry lemonade and fries.
