"Forgotten Hip-Hop acts!"

I'm trying to remember some forgotten hip-hop acts that had potential to really blow shit up, but somehow just vanished. I can only think of a few though, here they are:

1) UMC's
2) The Troubleneck Brothers (the ORIGINAL TB's)
3) Artifacts
4) Trends of Culture
5) The Wazcals

I need your help. Can you think of more acts that deserve to still be around?
Peace,
Phraktal

"Ha Ha, Awwwwwwwww Yeah! Got it goin' on like a big 'ol fat hiiiiiiigh hard-on!- Mike G
"Ya dumb dunces, I come once it's my time to, wanna hear a joke, I'm you!"- A-Plus

man i used to love those kids. they came back with a second album after blue cheese trying to be hard and cursing and stuff. that killed them i think. (even though on the bc album they were talking about u-tang before i even heard of wu-tang clan)
they should not have tried to be hard-ass. they could have easily transitioned from their "cute, jokey image" to something more realistic liek that of the roots, de la, or tribe.
de la and tribe were on a whole different level when they first came out, they are not the same anymore, yet they have grown and transitioned. umc's botched that opportunity.
well tell me your comment...IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR COMMENT IS!!!!!!!
at times my going forward seems like retreat
-comm

Onyx left the group (no big loss). Zev Love X and Subroc did a second album called 'Black Bastards' but it went from label to label and never got released. Then Subroc got killed and X had a nervous breakdown or shome shit like that (I think they were brothers) and was never heard from again. Damn shame too, cuz X was nice
There are millions of stars, but there's only one Sun.
J-Sun
"Individuals who are never satisfied with the static standards set by the masses. He was in the UK & Europe earlier this year touring with Rae & Christian (who are a little like Soul II Soul). He has a cut on their album, as well as a couple on "Cold Water Music" by their labelmate, Aim. Same album also has a DOPE track featuring AG
paz,
Pablo
"Why don't you check out your mind, it's been with you all the time" - The Impressions
"Gimme a dope beat and I'm all in it" - Gang Starr "Mass Appeal"
"If something is yours by right, fight for it. Or else shut up" - unknown voice, Main Source's "Vamos A Rapiar"
"You can't touch the effervescence" - Tajai Massey, Souls Of Mischief 1999

yo for masta ace, check the new "SQWAD" 12" with Large Professor and Neek the Exotic on one side and the flip side has Masta Ace's "NY Confidential",it's a dope track and well I sure hope we'll hear more of him....he did this Spike Lee's Crooklyn clan with Buckshot and Special Ed, and doesn't have two but three albums under his belt; 'Take A Look Around', 'Sittin on chrome' and 'Slaughtahouse', also keep an eye on ED O.G., he's back definetly, on some underground 12"es and LP's....also keep an eye on Strezz the female MC from my country Holland, she might blow up and a lot of record labels were interested in her, Ruff Ryders had talks with her A&R Deams, who was with the Gangstarr foundation and who is from Holland too. Peace and please check our Hip Hop site, which is in english, it's a Magazine-gone-online.........P's and you'll hear me soon!!

Well, I don't exactly know what happened to all of them...but as you may be aware, DJ Prince Paul has blown up like an Iraqi missile silo. He worked with De La, produced for a million people, and has two of his own albums (Prince Of Thieves, Handsome Boy Modeling School). I don't know if anyone else ever heard these cats, but they were one of the most experimental hip hop groups around. They dropped a couple albums (both too bizarre to catch on) and then disappeared off the map. I personally loved their strange concoction of rock, hip hop, industrial, and psychadelia. Where are they now?
peace,
murph

Kicked outta Hiero Extra Pro put out 2 for 15 a 2nd tape, and now is doing wack music.
Zeb Luv X is now MF Doom and just released his album on sandboxautomatic.com
Madkap became Colored Section and put out an ep, Bomb MC's
Boogiemonsters are no more. From what I heard, Mondo has a family now and Vex is on his own. Vex made an appearance on this group Equilibrium's single and he has his own album coming out soon.
Last I heard Ish and Lady Mecca went solo and suprisingly are both signed to Red-Ant, coming out with their albums.

"Like fiends use drugs and cars use gas, I'm one with the beat but how long will it last? they lost their second MC, now it's just the lead dude with the afro, Boots, and the DJ Pam the Spinstress(cool name, no?), they came out with a record on an independent label this year called Steal This Album which is pretty good, so go out and buy/swipe a copy. this is a funny topic though, thinking of all the cats who fell off, I can still remember when Hot 97 was playing nothing but Masta Ace's "Born to Roll". Here are a few more MIA MCs:
-Positive K- who could possibly forget "I Got A Man"? too bad there was nothing else on his album.
-Del the Funky Homosapien- thankfully, he's reappeared now with some rhymes on the Handsome Boy Modeling School joint- he had some good songs off his first two albums, hope he comes with another one.
-Fu-Schnickens- heheheh, not that I want them back or anything, although I'll admit "Breakdown" had my head nodding for a while.
-Shorty No Mas off the 3rd De La Soul album
-Broadway- does anyone besides me remember a song and video called "Must Stay Paid" from this cat? it was nice!
-Channel Live- KRS-One's "BDP Crew" went the way of H.E.A.L. and Edutainer Records, I guess...

actually has a third album out called "Future Development" available at http:www.hieroglyphics.com<;/a> (on cassette only). He also has a single out now from his forthcoming LP "Both Sides of the Brain", and that album should drop in the early part of 2000. Also, rumor has it he's doing an album with the Automator on some futuristic sci-fi ish. Anyway, Del's still around.
peace,
murph
