and from what I've seen in stores, the HD-DVD library is getting big. And so many of the good old movies like Goodfellas are out on it. And for $200, I just know it will sell out and be hard to come by this holiday season. That's why I want to get on that preorder asap.

Just got confirmation from EBgames and Gamestop. $50 holds you a Wii. I'm getting up at 7:30 to be there. I think some people are feeling the sting from the PS3 preorder and will come out in more force tomorrow for Wii.

but the launch lineup looks weak.

id be coppin Wii Sports, Zelda and Red Steel i guess.


i dont think u can make loot flippin one on ebay either, their supply looks like it will be closer to the demand than sony/ms was able to do.

I wouldn't be surprised. Though their supply will much bigger than PS3's, they're still gonna sell out on day 1 and have a whole lot of mom's and pop's looking to get one for their kids in the weeks right before Christmas.

they already have two million wii's made and expect to be able to make millions more before the end of the year. might not be able to flip it as easily

theres no way they get 2 million out in the states by the end of the year.

If anything, Sony ought to be scared stiff. Because they won't be able to afford a drop in the price of the PS3 for at least 3 years because they will be held waiting for the Blu-Ray mass adoption. On the other side, Microsoft knows they'll be able to drop the price of the 360 pretty soon. Spells a lot of trouble for Sony all around as the Wii could really snatch up the Japanese market from them which was Sony's biggest advantage over Microsoft. All I can say is that it's a pretty good damn time to be a gamer.

personally i dont see this lasting after the launch date, with production being the way it is, and those who are bidding are probably uninformed or just plain dumbasses

i placed a pre-order for the wii and the guy behind the counter was trying to get me to pre-order zelda too, saying they might sell out. is that even a remote possibility? i didn't bother pre-ordering it because i don't ever remember launch titles being sold out for any system. what do you think?

Gamestop may sell out, but you could easily go to Walmart or Target and cop.
