"What's a good photo scanner for under $150"

I was looking at the Epson Perfection 2480 but I'm looking at the reviews and most aren't positive. Any suggestions?

do you need to do transparent slides and negatives

most of the scanners i have used have been pretty old I think you wouldnt be doing yourself a diservice by getting a older used scanner

I got a Canon Canoscan FP something.....
It's about 3 years old, it was less than $150 and it's great.
So i'm sure you wouldn't have a problem finding a newer similar one in your price range...

I just figured this scrolling shit out!!!

I have an old-ass Epson Perfection 1200S (that's right... SCSI!)and the scans from it are excellent. You can get 'em on ebay for next to nothing these days (the 1200U was the USB version).
