ONce you plug it in, it acts like a USB drive. Only thing is you need a 3rd party program to move music files from your IPOD to your Hard Drive. Everything else is fairgame.

You should be able to Export and Inport through the use of a USB cable from your Ipod to your Hard Drive. When you link up using Windows XP Windows Explorer should come up and you can use this to view both Ipod files and HD files and swap back and forth. You do not even have to use music files for your IPOD...you can use it kind of like a jump drive if you wanted to. Although you will not be able to use the files on the Ipod you can just use it as temp storage or transfer storage.
