I moved into a new house so you already know what that means...new TVs!
I already bought that cheap 50” Toshiba from prime day. Not too bad so far with the rtings.com settings. I’m gonna grab one tv more to complete the 2-tv mancave setup.
I’m leaning Samsung. The nu8000 appears to be reasonably liked. And the price dropped to $699 at Best Buy.

But I was taking the cheap route. Really want a bigger tv and would love to get an LG 65 inch oled but I'll probably remain cheap and get a 65 inch TCL S series this fall. I just have a hard time spending over a G for a tv these days. So the TCL has my eye.

... mainly because I had a Costco Samsung that died after three years. THREE YEARS. Took it into a repair shop and they said the panel went out, zero issues with anything else. Too bad the panel replacement would have cost about the same as the original price...
So yeah, fuck Samsung. I got an old Panasonic Plasma that's still going strong, well over 10 years now, in my bedroom.
First time I ever "splurged" for a TV (ie, didn't go for the biggest screen for the lowest price) and I love it. 4k, fantastic HDR, excellent reviews (including longevity) all around, I think I paid 1600 total for the 65" after all was said and done.
But if you're going for a two-TV set up, then I'm assuming this one isn't your primary? Then yeah thewirecutter seemed pretty high on the TCL's that Lach mentioned for a great price.

Love it. Love. It.
I upgraded my Netflix to the HD subscription and I've been enjoying the Ultra 4K and Dolby Vision content. I started watching The Crown and just about anything in 4K. Amazing.
Need to get on this XBOX One though so I can see how video games look and blu ray stuff.

Yep. But what's the point. I'm fortunate to not be housebroke this time so that's not really a thing. And I pretty much never buy anything at it's original price, so it should be good.
I'm trying to get the 'big' stuff for the house bought so I can settle in and enjoy. Then, I'll figure out how close my expense estimates were to the truth with the house (moved from townhome in the city to bigger house in the burbs with a pool), and go from there.

and shoot I live out in the country. Work, workout, family is my routine nowadays. Not much else going on with me so I gotta have my home straight to kick back and enjoy. Not broke anymore but my daughter is a senior in highschool and wants to go to UGA next fall so I can't go too wild with spending lol.
