There are a few layouts to pick from and you can tweak each one. They really made it easy for folks who play FPS's primarily and people who want the best control experience from a stealth perspective (think Metal Gear). The cover system works a little bit faster, instead of just getting to cover , you can also point to a spot, lets say to get behind an enemy undetected, just aim at that point on the floor. I'm not gonna lie tho, the story isn't necessarily keeping my attention. Its really a continuation of the last game a few years later. I'll agree with IGN's review, its basically everything folks asked for to be fixed in the previous game.

i'm with ikemoses. i couldn't take more than a few hours of DE:HR for all of the reasons he listed
the reviews i've read of DE:MD imply that it plays a lot better. the aspect of MD that appeals most to me is that you can apparently spec in any direction and still progress through the game, unlike HR, which essentially gated you via boss fights that you couldn't talk/sneak/hack your way around. you had to nickel and dime the bosses to death or spec for combat. that's antithetical to the deus ex series

A $60 game needs a great gameplay, replayability, cutscenes, voice acting, online component, and story mode. That game you ride for has none of those. That game is unplayable for a lot of people given the lastest glitch.

I bring up that quote because as luck would have it people are getting refunds both PS4 and Steam.
I'm going for a ghost pacifist foxiest of hounds playthrough. Thanks to preordering through Amazon getting the day one edition and finding praxis kits I started the game with 11 praxis kits but this didn't break the game. I saved Singh, disabled the comms, and reached the chopper undetected so my skills are in tact.
Impressions:
It's something weird about using the train and getting asked for papers upon exit.
This world is like a cyberpunk equivalent of the Witcher 3's world in that no clean path exists as no one is truly innocent.
It's pretty dope that you can talk your way through conflicts.
How are you playing this game and what choices are you making along the way?

i think it's all the casual stealing. to me the ES games are stealing simulators first, and high concept open world fantasy games second
i'm not a fan of the setting of deus ex: mankind divided. or the graphics. or the art design. or the general feel of the controls. or the writing
but i LOVE how open ended the game is. i love the fact that i get 200 exp for jumping and climbing my way up into an open window to an apartment that is just a few items and a laptop with possibly useless information. the first thing i did when i found a vendor was to sell all the guns i had collected in the opening mission, in order to corner myself into a sneaking/melee only build. and seems to be working. hopefully i will never be forced into using a gun for the rest of the game. i've heard tell of being able to talk your way around "boss" encounters. haven't run into any yet as i'm having fun breaking into every door in every building i can find

That's more or less true, though you need to make sure to take the Social Analysis augment to experience the "boss conversations".

I'm playing a pacifist foxiest of hounds run which means I don't kill people and avoid alarms at all costs.
Fucked around and raided two armories practically at the same time in the same section of the second hub world amassing credits. The dev needs to improve upon the in-game economy as outside of crafting parts and biocells there's very few things to spend money on if you aren't running and gunning. I also found a way to skip the vast majority of the grind in the second hub world by accident but decided to overwrite the save because of missing out on the experience.
