It's kind of like Zelda but with more focus on combat than exploration and no puzzles. I've also heard comparisons to Dark Souls but I think that has more to do with the difficulty (although it's not nearly as hard as those games imo). While it's not a particularly long game, it's challenging enough that it doesn't feel too short. Plus the art and music are both amazing.
And it's supposed to be coming to PS Vita eventually (if it's cross buy I'll probably play it again on there since it seems like it would be a great portable game).

Loved it to bits, though I wished there had been more obtuse story vignettes hidden around the world, instead of just a bunch of tablets that unlock an outfit.
Also, they may have fixed it at some point, but the Shotgun was way overpowered, almost gamebreakingly so.

Agreed.

Oh really? I never used that one. Mainly just stuck to the beam rifle and hand canon type gun.

100 dash challenge sucked. fuck the 800 dash challenge. there's something loose about the timing that throws me off and prevents me from getting into a good rhythm
love the presentation. i can't recall the last time i played a game with virtually zero words or speech. controls are sharp. fighting is fluid and challenging. this seems like one of those games that will feel like it wasn't long enough (in a good way) when completed
