"Marvel Ultimate Alliance & Ultimate Alliance 2: now on PC, XB1, PS4"
And i'm hyped!
I loved those two games. Read about the rerelease yesterday when it was released. Rushed home, grubbed, turned on XBLA to download...
Not there.
XB1 releases two days later for some reason on July 28. I will be doing N O T H I N G this weekend! ______________________________________________________________________________

1. "From what I've read, these are not remasters" In response to Reply # 0
Just straight up ports, which is inconceivable since I played the first joint on PS2.
And they don't include all the DLC.
And it's $40 a piece or $60 for both...
I had fun with these games, and I woulda loved to play them again with the modern bells and whistles, but I don't think that's what they're offering at all.
2. "I never played them but heard they're not great ports either" In response to Reply # 1
I'll wait to see how people who revere the first (and to a lesser extent the second) react to these. I'd like to try them out but not if they're out of date, ugly and half-assed.

I'm obligated to play these because I used a code on the first joint that completely fucked me out of getting my first 1000 point game on 360.
I always equated fights in the first one to gang fights. If one of the enemy drones gets knocked down, you got 4 superpowered niggas stomping his ass out. Except for the parts where you require multiple people to unlock a door, I beat most of the game with Wolverine by himself.
I wish they were updating this, cuz they could put in new alternate costumes like Old Man Logan, Lady Thor, etc.

You charging 40 for 1, 60 for 2 for 10 & 7 year old games that are not remasters with no DLC for PS4 for part 1. Naw mayne! Had they been 30 for both, no problem. 10-20 for 1, yeah. The only way I see 60 being justifiable is if both X-Men Legends games & both Marvel Ultimate Alliance games come in a bundle.

So instead of these being straight up backwards compatible games, they're re-releasing theem with very limited upgrades for way too much money. I saw the $60 tag for the bundle and thought I clicked on the wrong thing.

Not true remasters, but they did do some graphical upgrades. Games run very smooth, no problem. Only time my eyes hurt a bit are the cut scenes. Those still look PS2 quality-ish. But the gameplay itself is still fun as hell, and the in game graphics are pretty good. If you're playing any backcompat games on the regular, these graphics shouldn't bother you in the least.
But yeah, they could have made it 10-20 bucks cheaper. ______________________________________________________________________________

I think "Save project as... MUA.xb1.exe" is the funniest criticism I've heard, so far. I enjoy it, but I wonder how good it would be if this weren't just for the fuck of it. I don't know how well a new one would do, since Marvel is fucking over the X-Men.
16. "They did update the games to have all the DLC characters." In response to Reply # 0
I just finished the first game. The "stomping people out" part is still pretty fun, but, they could stand to make a Marvel-themed Diablo ripoff for the current gen. Most things look good, from afar.
