That new Ratchet & Clank dropped yesterday for 39.99! Anyway, the movie is coming out on the 29th also. I copped yesterday and I must say, it's up there for the best looking game out and the controls are responsive. Great ratings across the board as well. Anyone copping for the kids or themselves?

but the clips I've seen and reviews I've read are very tempting to me. Those first Ratchet and Clank games on PS2 were phenomenal from what I remember. Good to see that the reboot is on par with the originals.

The weapon upgrades weren't emphasized like this until the 2nd and 3rd games, and if you pay attention to your card collection you'll end up noticing a few of the weapons in this game weren't in the series until the fifth or sixth game in the series.
The story is pretty spare, I was honestly a little surprised at how sterile most of the cutscenes were but the gameplay is wonderful. Hadn't enjoyed a game of this style so much since R&C: Going Commando.

cutscenes, as they are lifted directly from the movie. Like game recording and streaming stop when they play. One would think they would be better just for that but nope, pretty dull.

Beat it this weekend when I had time to sit down with it. Pretty fun experience all around. The latter stages had some difficult waves of enemies in it and was a lot more challenging than I remember the game being on the prior Sony gaming systems. Not as funny as the prior games either; the only solid source for laughter is the Mr. Zorgon (sp?) weapon referring to itself in the third person. I think it even made fun of me once when I grabbed some health during one of the harder portions of the game.
I hope a sequel for this will drop sooner rather than later.
