I mistakenly deleted 200 GB worth of media files from my external hard drive.

I was able to retrieve the files with icarepro, however when attempting to play the video files with VLC player it doesn't play.

It doesn't show a time length in VLC either to show how long the file is.

It does show the size of the file (e.g. one file is 400 mb).

Any idea on what's causing this or how to fix it?

The only thing I can think of is to either try another program to open the file or rename the file and extension.
