I see what you're saying in that Sony recently lowered the price of the system. Then again, there as that GTA V bundle that I think allowed for folks to get a physical copy of GTA V and a digital copy of The Last of Us that was specific to Black Friday. It's entirely possible Sony could let something similar drop for Black Friday.
I personally am not too interested in copping a system until the sequel for Red Dead Redemption drops, but if I were in the market for a PS4, I'd wait until the 1TB system drops. I'd be curious to see what it would cost since Microsoft has differing bundles for their 1TB systems.

I have no game playing desires at the moment, so that's why waiting another three weeks plus for Black Friday isn't a big deal to me. Watching walkthroughs on YouTube or watching twitch on my TV via the Roku app are enough to fill my game needs.

all the 1TB joints are the older model of the PS4, which runs hotter and louder.
Get the new 500GB joints and put a 2TB hard drive in it. The hard drive swap is hella easy, and you'll spend like $20 more (if that) on twice the space.

but Target had a deal for any PS4 bundle plus a $50 gift card roughly a week or two ago. I believe it was around the time of the $350 price drop.
I was going to cop the Uncharted system, but watching people play the game on twitch made me realize how repetitive the gameplay is. Gorgeous game, and I remember being floored playing the second one the first time around, but I could see myself getting very very bored playing the games a second time around.
I'm more than content waiting until the Red Dead sequel drops before copping a new system.
To make this reply of some use to you, I did see the deal on cheapassgamer.com, so I suppose looking at that site on a weekly basis could serve some use, especially around this time of year.

If you've never played the Uncharted games you should get the Uncharted bundle tho. Uncharted 2 is easily top 5 of last gen and you can finish it up before Fallout drops.

So my rational mind says you should get the one you think is coolest, since you'll have that thing for years. You won't even remember that extra week you waited down the line.

i have no interest at all in those drake games i want last of us but i think i can get that on the low since it's an older game so it might be a waste to get it bundled might just wait for that battlefront to drop
even if you're not a sam's club member other outlets will likely attempt to match or beat that offer, if not that that day/week then definitely on black friday/cyber monday. amazon in particular is very good at matching offers. i'm actually counting on amazon to match the sam's club offer on the 14th
through target's cartwheel app. i think all you need to give up is an email address. r/gamedeals is reporting that you can get an additional 15% off by creating a wedding or baby registry and applying that discount to the ps4 bundle:

The controller's wideness eliminates the ergonomic issues the old Dualshocks used to have. You'll still have your Xbox layout preference, but you won't feel uncomfortable playing with a DS4.
All in all I think the controller is one of the best ever. I'd put it up there with the 360, but it has two big issues:
1. The battery life sucks. It won't die on you during a play session, even a long one, but if you don't charge between sessions you're in trouble.
2. The padding on the sticks wears down on a lot of people. Cheap pad covers eliminate that issue, though.

bundle on Black Friday woke up at 7:30 this morning to get the drake bundle from sams club.... and it was already sold out online figured if that's the case it's probably not worth driving 20 miles and paying toll to go to the physical location figured the demand for these bundles wouldn't be that thirsty , systems been out a couple years at this point ugh and i have to go into the office on black friday too so i can't really afford to be driving around all morning trying to find one of these i hope the online sales start at midnight or something so i can just order everything then

I got there at 8 to get the iPhone gift card deal and it was already a huge line, had to wait two hours just to get an appointment for later.
They had already sold all the ps4 bundles by 8, I heard people were lined up at like 5-6 to get in right as they opened.
And when I went back today for the phone setup, they said they had sold all their phone inventory and had booked 30 minute appointments straight through until Thursday. Their first available time on Thursday was like 2pm.

I haven't even had a system since the original Xbox. I want something that can be used both for family friendly games for the kids, and for games like Madden and first person shooters for me. I don't want to do any online play at all.
Should I go straight to the PS4 or Xbox one? Is the PS3 and 360 completely outdated at this point? Are there family friendly gaming options for those systems? I've had friends tell me I'd need to go the Wii U route to get decent kid-friendly games.

and two years in there are now more good games than you have time to play. plus, a lot of the best games from the 360 and PS3 have been remade for the current systems, so you won't be missing out on too much old stuff.
they both have kid friendly games too (the lego games, Disney Infinity). not as many good ones as the Wii U, but you won't be playing no Madden or shooters on the Wii U.
It's gonna be $800 too but only problem is that Samsung one hasn't been released yet so there are no reviews. But that Vizio one appears to have some pretty decent reviews out there. It may come down to which one is available when I get online that night lol

Consumer storage hasn't really caught up with the size of digital games. You gotta upgrade if you plan on playing a lot of games. Thankfully it's an easy process.
