Hearthstone is an online card game made by Blizzard. You can play on computer/tablet (including kindle fire) and its coming to smartphones sometime this year. I've never played a competitive card game before but I like it quite a bit. The tutorial does a good job on teaching the basics and you can play single player to get up to speed but its about playing against others online. Its free to play and you can in theory get everything but winning gold in games but it would take a while.
It can be frustrating but i've been having a lot of fun with it lately

I originally started it as a filler when waiting for other games, but once you learn the nuances it's impressively deep. Releasing it on Android tablets just makes it way too accessible now.
Let me know if you have questions or whatever... I have an absurd wealth of knowledge on this game

yeah when i heard it was on kindle fire i downloaded it and while i mainly play on my computer more its nice to have on tablet too.

thats cool. i started around the first of this year. i mainly play ranked/casual. i can get to rank 16 but then usually backslide and get back to it and slide back etc
Note though that while the values are a guide, #1 priority should be drafting for a proper curve. Dropping minions on curve usually wins Arena games and finding (or lucking into) card synergy leads to the best decks.

yeah i havent really been playing arena at all. I guess i will here and there. I played it today and went 3 and 3 but in my pack I got sneeds old shredder so that's awesome.
its crazy we are the only two people in this thread. this game is so good (but frustrating)

and a bit after
It was fun, but often times I found that most of the time it was unbalanced. Back then the Rogue and Druid decks were insane it seemed.
Now its a TCG so there is always going to be luck as a factor. Maybe I'll pick this back up and have another go at it. I can trust Blizzard with putting together a solid game that's for sure.

Mage is the probably the most used class, but only at about a 20-22% clip. Druid and Rogue also see wide use but are held in check by Hunter. Other than Shaman and Priest, the diversity of classes has jumped up a ton since the Undertaker nerf. There are still specific netdecks you'll see more often than not, but there's enough variety within those to keep things fresh.

First legendary I crafted when the expansion hit and the shredder cards are so good, I love me some RNG.
Yeah Arena is great if you're grinding cards as it yields a better per-game rewards rate than straight ladder. Good to do if you're still building a collection (although it's lame how classic packs aren't available).
