"What's the best Bit Torrent program?"


          

Any opinions. I've been stuck on uTorrent 1.8.4 for Mac for a few years - and now that the new ones are scammy I'm thinking of swithcing.

but yeah, suddenly they started pushing more and more bullshit with every update and the new ones are disgusting. I installed it once to download something and was shocked.

Went with this after several suggestions.

Why I am changing: UTorrent would often pause or refuse to download torrents. I read about troubleshooting it and change a GRIP of options, but it just stopped working for some reason.

not sure what's gone so wrong with it other than they added an ad in the lower left I don't know how long ago.

why are you trying to find a new torrent program? does utorrent not work well enough for you? are you looking for something with more functionality?

Transmission on Linux isn't quite as good. On Windows I'd probably say Deluge. The only knock on Transmission is that it doesn't have built-in RSS, but you can use something like Automatic if you want feeds.

uTorrent has been shit for some time, and it's only going to get worse from now on with all that garbage they force on you with their ads and bundles.
